- I am usually in a big piece of equipment, it's nice to work with the animals a bit! I love my fluffy, sweet cows. The calves will be sold saturday. The cows and bulls are enjoying stalks!! Very cool old Chevy truck. When I was a teenager I worked at an Esso station and we had one just like that but it was white and had the Esso logo on the side. It was our service truck and we drove it around town all the time changing tires and replacing batteries. Those were good times.

Hey Laure quick tip. In the summer if you pick a blade of green grass and hold it a few inches from the end then touch the end to the electric fence you will get a very very gentle shock. It’s a good way to test if the fence is working if you don’t have a tester.

2 Animals are killed as humanly and with the least amount of discomfort as possible because an if an animal dies under stressful conditions the meat will be tough and have worse flavour.

Laura’s parent, grandparents and maybe great grandparents worked hard and earned everything they have. People obviously find value in the content that Laura creates so they compensate her for the work she puts in. She never forced anyone to pay for her Patreon so why should you care that people spend a few dollars a month on it.

I grew up on a farm and I can't say I ever talked that "sweetly" to any of the animals we had. Especially not while hurdling them, that was when I yelled at them the most. Although I do remember talking "soothingly" to the dairy cows. You didn't want to spook them while putting the milkers on them. Frightened cows in small places is not a good thing. It was a real show of restraint when I didn't yell at the cow when it stepped on my toe, though I did swat really hard at its leg until it moved it. Lost the toenail... They're heavy! ;-)

@@steveallen648 Steve, I sold Safety Supplies years ago. I sold neoprene boots to slaughter houses. Neoprene is tuff stuff, but the blood would destroy them, turn them to goo, in about 16 wks. The blood is highly acidic. But i still eat meat.
I just bought a used carhartt, but it would have been really cool to support you and get a laura farms one! (although the one I bought was cheaper. On the flip side it is a lil small)

Easy for 1 person to round up 170 cows as i did regularly when i was dairy farming.My younger brother was rounding up about 1000 cows a year ago when he worked on a large dairy farm here in New Zealand
These aren't dairy cows, dairy cows do that every day during lactation these beef cows do it much less
