Gachot Monot Bourgogne "Chant de Muses" 2019

Another one of those "under the radar" Burgundies, this time a vineyard just outside Chambolle Musigny, which ends up with the lowest common denominator appellation of just "Bourgogne".

I will buy that wine solely due to your beautiful description of it. Rustic, to me, is a beautiful description to bestow on any wine variety and it should be celebrated by every vineyard. Thank you John for yet another belter of a video.

I for one enjoy being one of your “imaginary friends”. It’s sad though that I can only imagine enjoying the wine with you. However your descriptions go some way to make that almost a reality.
“Rustic” to me means it’s an honest wine, and not pretentious. Bold and honest sounds good to me. 👏👏👍😀🍷

The parakeets in the South East are rapidly transitioning from pretty, amusing novelties into flying rat-like pests. I don't know how to feel about them, on one hand they are quite beautiful birds, on the other they seem to be dominating and out-competing the other species. Worrying.

I agree, this kind of scenario usually has negative consequences (thinking of grey squirrels for example).
