Alaska First class review - Is It Worth It? - Horizon Air Embraer 175

- After being amazed by Alaska on two basic economy tickets, it is now time to see what you can expect on a first class ticket. Also, we're having a look inside the brand new Alaska flagship lounge at SeaTac airport!
Alaska Airlines announced this week that they will be joining the OneWorld alliance from summer 2021, so I would love to make a comparison next year to see whether this affects their service in any way.

I really like the look of the Embraer 175 and 190 variants because they look very slick and cool. This Alaskan Airlines cabin didn't disappoint and it they seem like a great option to fly if I am going west

My favourite benefits of the E-jets compared to the 737 and A320 are the lack of middle seats and better positioning of the window, and they're slick too! Thanks buddy!
Nice video. Alaska already flies to three cities from here in Fresno and is adding LAX next month. I booked a ticket in first class on the E175 for a great price for promoting the new route. Can't wait

Solo seats on the E175 are great, bummer to just get a snack basket in first, but it looks like you had a pretty perfect day for plane spotting to make up for that!

Lounge looked fantastic! Too bad there wasn't a meal service. That's a deal breaker for me when I fly business / first. Nonetheless, enjoyable video!
It did say "snack" on the ticket, but with other airlines even a snack is still a small plate of cold food, not just some chips lol.

I've flown Alaska Airlines a few times over the years to and from Portland and i've always been impressed by them. Though i've always no been able to check in online but all my flights have been part of long haul itineraries so that may be why. Will be interesting to see if anything changes when they are part of One World.
I am definitely interested to see what'll happen now they'll join OW and I hope they keep impressing like they do now. I usually don't have any problems checking in on domestic flights in Canada and the US, but as soon as I hop over a border, they need to see my passport in order to finalize check in.
@@Vuelogs seeing the passport must be why I've never been able to check in then. With Delta and KLM they have my passport details already so never have a problem with them!
Love flying through SEA! Unfortunately my favorite restaurant Ivar's is no longer at the main food court, and also all that construction going on is kind of a eye sore. But it's going to be awesome when they're done.

I haven’t looked much as I went straight to the lounge, but last time I was at SeaTac, I really liked the direction the airport is going with the renovations.
Just before this video I watched another Alaska first class flight, and that one had a dirty tray table, too. I guess there are various ways to qualify for the lounge, but I doubt that I would spend the considerable extra bucks for first class just to get into it. The legroom was nice, but it wasn't a very long flight.
It was fairly expensive to get the first class ticket, but lounge access with this view kind of justified for it. But I agree, the flight wasn't very long.
