I didn't find the answer satisfying though. "Because it gives you purpose" ok what if I already have a purpose? I want to find a reason to have kids some day, but none of the answers ever convince me
Not sure if he is gonna be another dad guy, but if he ever does it's gonna be WAAAAAAAY later in the future. On the other hand, Eugene can surely be handling puppy dog adoptions as a DOG DAD
@@hashtagmateI completely agree. My kids are 17 and 11 but having them didn't "give" me purpose. It helped fulfill parts of my life, sure. But if I hadn't had them my life still would have been purposeful. I do not like that take on parenting.

Having heard that taking care of babies is strikingly similar to taking care of your drunk crying friends at the bar, I can't imagine a more perfect babysitter than Eugene
This episode feels like character growth. Not just on Keith for becoming a new parent and learning about the rollercoaster ahead of him, but also Eugene, opening up and being more comfortable around and with his friends in these absolutely bonkers situations they have consistently surprised him with. (And all three of them maybe remembering, just a little, that being a baby isn't actually easy. Everything is new and terrifying, and you're completely dependant on the people around you. Humans are born too soon, that's the sacrifice we made to be bipedal.)
