I too had an accident. I can relate to that. It took my riding confidence away. I also stopped riding for 6 years and I'm now getting back into it. It takes time but we'll definitely get back to where we were. Also that was a smoooth canter. You just melted into the saddle with his strides. Just wonderful to watch.

Thank you for the kind words! So sorry you had an accident as well, but glad you’re getting back into it 💕

3 years ago I fell off going downhill and broke my pelvis in three places and had to relearn how to walk. Destroyed my confindence. It took me a year and a half to get it back.. I remember when I first cantered after my accident. I couldn't stop laughing. For the longest time I was so scared to go fast. To finally get past that was a big relief. There were a lot of ups and downs getting there. But I'm glad I faced it. You did really good! :) You got this!

Sheyenne Perry I’m so sorry for you but I’m glad your better!! I fell of a really tall horse at my stables named belle and I was scared to get back on her but I got back on her I didn’t break or sprine anything I just was sore on my back & hip!! Have a amazing day!!

@@Bellbeesevenacresfarm its scary to fall off. I try not to let it faze me now. I've fallen off twice since and always get back on after. Granted I wont go galloping off after that. But I laugh it off and get back on. ;) Big horses can be pretty intimidating especially if you fall off. I prefer the smaller ones like 14.3 Plus I'm short like 4'11. I'm glad you're okay. ;)

Way to go! I know that wasnt easy for you but he looked so relaxed. It looks like your trainers are doing wonderful with him. My young ottb threw a bucking fit out of no where and threw me into a fence. Definitly knocked my confidence down but after lunge work I just try again and hang on a little tighter ☺️

That canter looked gorgeous, and keep that confidence going!! Also I’ve definitely understand how you feel. Lately I’ve been riding/training a little baby bean(only 4), and it’s just made me super nervous to do certain things that I would’ve totally done on the flip of a dime this summer. Now I just get nervous, I still do it because my trainer is strict😂 and I dare not go against her word😂, but it just feels different😕

At my first barrel race my horse cam to a stop at a gallop and I fell off into a gate and broke both my bones in my forearm, minor ish concussion with a few broken ribs. I was off riding for almost 3 months which may not seem like a lot but it almost killed me!😅 getting back on was definitely scary but I thought I'd be more scared if I didnt.
