I too had an accident. I can relate to that. It took my riding confidence away. I also stopped riding for 6 years and I'm now getting back into it. It takes time but we'll definitely get back to where we were. Also that was a smoooth canter. You just melted into the saddle with his strides. Just wonderful to watch.
Thank you for the kind words! So sorry you had an accident as well, but glad you’re getting back into it 💕
3 years ago I fell off going downhill and broke my pelvis in three places and had to relearn how to walk. Destroyed my confindence. It took me a year and a half to get it back.. I remember when I first cantered after my accident. I couldn't stop laughing. For the longest time I was so scared to go fast. To finally get past that was a big relief. There were a lot of ups and downs getting there. But I'm glad I faced it. You did really good! :) You got this!
Sheyenne Perry I’m so sorry for you but I’m glad your better!! I fell of a really tall horse at my stables named belle and I was scared to get back on her but I got back on her I didn’t break or sprine anything I just was sore on my back & hip!! Have a amazing day!!
@@Bellbeesevenacresfarm its scary to fall off. I try not to let it faze me now. I've fallen off twice since and always get back on after. Granted I wont go galloping off after that. But I laugh it off and get back on. ;) Big horses can be pretty intimidating especially if you fall off. I prefer the smaller ones like 14.3 Plus I'm short like 4'11. I'm glad you're okay. ;)
I’m sorry you had to go through that, but so happy that you got your confidence back! Thanks for the encouragement!
@@LauraElsieGrace you're welcome ;)
Way to go! I know that wasnt easy for you but he looked so relaxed. It looks like your trainers are doing wonderful with him. My young ottb threw a bucking fit out of no where and threw me into a fence. Definitly knocked my confidence down but after lunge work I just try again and hang on a little tighter ☺️
Thank you! And Theo’s training is going really well!
And ouch! I’ve been thrown into a fence only once, and thankfully didn’t get hurt. Glad you’re okay!
I'm so proud of you and Theo! ♡
Thank youuuu ^_^
I love your channel you’re doing so great!!!💚💞💛💚💞🧡💛💓💕🧡💙💜💗
I appreciate it!!
YES! so proud of you, what a huge step! you two are going to go far 😊💕✨
Thank you so much! 😌❤️
You ride so beautifully and gently. A true horse woman and equestrian 💓💓💟💟💜💜❤❤💙💙💚💚
Aww, thanks! I appreciate it! :)
@@LauraElsieGrace I appreciate you replying and hearting my comment 😂😆 but seriously YOUR RIDING IS GOALS !!! How long have u been riding for ?
@@friesianprincess5490 Haha, thanks!! And I've been riding for sport for about 3 1/2 years, but due to a couple of riding accidents, I've only ridden a handful of times the last year and a half. Hoping to get back to where I was soon!
@@LauraElsieGrace I'm sure you will. It takes courage but I believe in you and I'm sure Theo does too
That canter looked gorgeous, and keep that confidence going!! Also I’ve definitely understand how you feel. Lately I’ve been riding/training a little baby bean(only 4), and it’s just made me super nervous to do certain things that I would’ve totally done on the flip of a dime this summer. Now I just get nervous, I still do it because my trainer is strict😂 and I dare not go against her word😂, but it just feels different😕
Thank you so, so much! And I’m sorry you’re having a tough time, I know I would!
But I also know that YOU’VE got this! One day, you’re going to look at that “little baby bean” and feel so proud that you trained it up! And it’s going to be a great day ❤️
i used to be scared to jump bareback with my pony, but some other girls were jumping and i was bareback. i was finally like, this is what i want and did it! i’m super confident at it now :) you did so well!!
That’s awesome! Love that you overcame your fear!
You done amazingly! Glad to see you being confident on Theo ☺️❤️ I’ve been scared to canter my horse Lola since I fell off and broke my ribs back in December but I’m getting there slowly 😱
Thank you so, so much! And I’m sorry to hear about that! I broke my shoulder a year ago and got stepped on last summer by falling off, so I can definitely see where you’re coming from. I wish you the best of luck! ❤️
Also, I just posted about confidence on my Instagram @Laura.elsie.grace if you’d like to check it out! :)
I remember when you broke your shoulder and you got stepped on! I hope you had a full recovery! It is daunting getting back on 😱❤️ I will check it out after work I love your posts ☺️❤️
@@caitlinjarvis2608 Thank you! And my shoulder has made a full recovery, but my leg has not. :)
Yay im proud of u!
That saddle pad is so cute! Theo and Benjamin are so cute! Great job!
Isn’t it? In love with this saddle pad! 😍
And thank you so much
Awesome job girl!
Thank you so much!
At my first barrel race my horse cam to a stop at a gallop and I fell off into a gate and broke both my bones in my forearm, minor ish concussion with a few broken ribs. I was off riding for almost 3 months which may not seem like a lot but it almost killed me!😅 getting back on was definitely scary but I thought I'd be more scared if I didnt.
Sorry you had to go through that, but glad you got back on!! ❤️
You haven't cantered in so long and you're still so much better than me lol....nice job:)
Haha! Well, I’ve cantered Benjamin a little bit 😆
Hell yes!
Beautiful job, you and Theo. You are golden. Enjoy the partnership, enjoy each other.
Thank you!
Great job facing your fears! I am still get nervous when I canter my mare and she gets strong. I still do it. My trainer said that is better do short good ones than long not so good.
That’s great advice! And thank you :)
nice job! you are such a good rider!
I really appreciate it! 😌❤️
You did really good. I know horses and I can see Theo has a fast gait, he’s a little hard to handle but you did fabulous! The saddle pad had a great look on Benjamin too!
Aww, thanks! And yes, he has a pretty strong/fast canter. I appreciate it! ❤️
Great job, Laura! I am so proud of you!
Thank you! ☺️❤️
Aww Congrats!
Thanks! :D
Good job, you did so amazing😁
Thank you so much! ❤️
You did great!! I’m so happy for you & proud of you!! Every one gets scared when they fall off but they always get back on which I’m happy about you getting back on! I fell off a really tall horse named belle at my stable but I decided to get back on at first I said no but then I got back on I was just sore I didn’t break or sprine anything but I’m happy you got back on and I can tell everyone else is I hope this comment makes your happier have a amazing day!! :) ❤️ 🐴
I really appreciate your kind words! And that’s great that you got back on!!
Laura Elsie Grace thx so much!! I’m so glad you got back on and didn’t refuse!
wait did you change Theo to western? x
No, we’re just riding him in the Western saddle right now because it gives more support and since I grew up riding western, I’m less likely to fall off in that saddle. 😆
Is your saddle an all purpose one?
I believe it’s a jump saddle, but I could be wrong since it’s not mine. XD
my horse bucked me off when I was bareback my mom told me to get back up on him. and we trotted over where he bucked me, he did fine but I still get a little scared to trot him bc of his young spirited attitude.
It’s great that you got back on! And getting bucked off can really shake you up. Just keep at it, and you’ll have your confidence back in no time
