This is the full adventure of our cruise from Seattle to Alaska on the Norwegian Encore. We visited Skagway, Juneau, Icy Straight Point, Ketchikan and a few Sea Days. It was the trip of a lifetime and an unforgettable experience with my family.

Your documentary was great! You covered so much that we are very excited about our upcoming Alaska cruise with Norwegian in June 2022. We will be visiting some of the same ports and can’t wait. Your information was very helpful in regards to embarkation, COVID testing, it being cold and rainy and suggesting to bring layered clothing as well as rain gear and also information regarding the internet packages. I agree with other post, you were so down to earth and I could relate and did not mind watching the entire documentary. It gives us so much to look forward to. I would like to know if the water was calm from Seattle to Alaska? Again, great documentary!

Finally watched this. I was thoroughly engrossed in it and laughed so much. Alyssa, you are hysterical. Just sayin. I am going to Alaska again in August this year 2022. The tram I want to do and the snorkeling looked so fun. Thanks for such a fun tour. It helped me to remember what to do.

Thank you so much for your vlog, at first I thought …hmmm over 2 hr video ?? But it was so informative. And I enjoyed your candid take on everything. So much better than the drab ones showing the same thing, blah blah this is the closet blah blah. I am definitely changing my wardrobe, no one really shows how much it rains or how cold it might be, especially the shoe selection will have to change. Thanks for that. And I didn’t know about all the docking changes.that will make a difference when I choose my shore excursions.

I'm going on a RCI glacier cruise in August with my mom & sister so I've been watching all sorts of Alaskan cruise videos, and I really appreciate how detailed this one is. Also, Alyssa looks SO MUCH like my sister! It's kind of uncanny so that's weird but also nice.

Great video. Princess Cruises also uses the Seattle luggage valet. I believe it's for all cruises out of Seattle that offers it. Awesome little perk, for those have time or want to explore prior to their flight departure.

We had the airline transfer thing on our Royal Caribbean Ovation of the Seas cruise. It is really convenient, especially the weight consideration. Please keep the videos coming, we really enjoy them.

I've been on three Norwegian cruises and I found the dining very very good. taste was not the main dining room but one of those side ones. The specialty dining was also good the French, Japanese restaurant and Brazilian restaurant was also good worth the extra money for the dining experience.
We did a similar thing with our luggage from Holland America comingback from a Caribbean cruise. It was awesome!

I did the Norwegian joy out of Seattle when it first got to the United States in 2019. Agree the food was great the drop slide was fun. Did a white water rafting in front of the glacier in Juneau and down a river also very enjoyable. Love your video.

In preparation for my August Alaska cruise on the Encore, I watched your documentary. Y'all did a fine job and now I have enough information to make a plan. I enjoy all your postings but this one struck home. The only thing that could make my adventure perfect would be to have that cutie pie in video on the ship, you know, the one with the short hair and glasses. (don't tell her husband, I have enough problems)
The fish in the carpet to signal forward or back of the ship is very helpful.

That shuttle to town from a port that is 7 miles from town is a nightmare. Next time cruise on HAL, they will also make sure you see the glaciers! HAL has been cruising Alaska for decades!

If you have no outer water proof shoes t o keep your feet dry use a disposable shower cap inside your shoes. Put on you sox the thicker the better and then put your foot into a shower cap or a plastic bag. Then put your foot into your shoes. (Trim the excess length off the plastic bag if it is too long) so your shoes may be wet but your feet will be dry and warmer than wet sox feet.
We used the Port Valet service on Royal Caribbean June of 2022 and it was wonderful! It was so great to not have to lug a heavy suitcase around.

Loved this video . We are sailing on the Encore next October. Question: was your cabin on the starboard side or Port? I’m thinking starboard. Wondered which side was better on this cruise to see the glaciers and whales? That was a bummer the ship didn’t turn around do you could see the glacier! They made me wonder what dude was best? Thanks for the great video! I can’t edit till my cruise even though I think we’re going to freeze!

Quick question, a few shots seem like you are using a drone? I thought the cruise lines didn't allow you to transport drones on the ships.

Port Valet is a service they provide to all cruise lines. It’s a Seattle port service.
So have you told NCL what you think of the Ketchican terminal? Seems like they didn't have a good plan to move passengers into town.
