And he was great fighting against Captain America in that one movie...can't remember which one.
Greatest Canadian athlete of all time
Bettertoday2 what lmao
"Good is not enough,I want to be great"-GSP
people underestimate simple weightlifting because it doesn't have the appeal of doing silly less efficient exercises and workouts that look cool. if you can squat heavy, press heavy, and deadlift a lot while maintaining mobility and cardio, you're going to be a hell of an athlete, and the strength and power you generate from those exercises will carry over a lot more when practicing your striking and ground game.
How many bodybuilders and strongmen do you see doing MMA or combat sports?
IDONTGIVEAFUUUCKKKKK mike tyson, evander holyfield, brock lesnar, Mariusz Pudzianowski, Jérôme Le Banner all have done well with considerable muscle mass and strength. george st pierre also has good muscle mass compared to others in his weight class and he was dominant.
I'm saying top level strongmen inside MMA. Everyone that you've mentioned are good because they're genetically gifted, but are not good examples of technical fighters. GSP is def. one of the best technically sound fighters ever.
IDONTGIVEAFUUUCKKKKK but that's what i mean with my original post. the muscle mass helps them a lot and gives them an advantage. you get that muscle mass through proper strength training which includes heavy squatting, pressing, and pulling. people say being strong doesn't make you a good fighter, but it definitely does give you an advantage.
Well it all depends on the circumstances. More musclemass till a certain point gives quicker fatigue. If you look at Alistair Overeem he went back a lot of weight to improve his conditioning.
His autobiography showed how passionate he was about his strength and conditioning and how he was always evolving
I though he didn't believe in strength and conditioning? There's an interview with Rogan where he states something like that.
@@LambertBowden56tou def misheard him by a longshot..
@@LambertBowden56that was him just fucking with people, you can see him try to hide a smirk suring the interview as much as possible ,GSP knew what he was doing,he's not a bully but he will gaslight his opponent's into underestimating him or being confused by him, the problem is bot everyone played head games with him like this, the guys that respected him but focused more on their own strengths than messing with George's head did way better in fights with him,George handles bullies like nothing but he fought murderer after murderer in their physical primes.
Conor Mcgregor and GSP are like ying yang. They are completely opposite.GSP isn't afraid to confess his fears, his anxieties and vulnerabilities before his fights and gives praise and respect to his opponents and doesn't look past his opponents and faces them as big threats whereas Conor looks past his opponents, plans ahead, sees them just as stepping stones, puts them out of the way, doesn't show fear,is actually super relaxed on fight day,is so confident he will win that he even announces his afterparty and next fight before the fight has even started.
+Nicklas Mudymba ootw?
+hospitalcleaner out of this world
Gsp has better character skill and athleticism
YesWhitesDeserveToDie AndIHopeTheyBurnInHell what
A lot of fighters have after parties lol win or lose
Skill training + gymnast + some weightlifting = greatness
I gained a lot of respect back for GSP after learning about his voluntary blood testing prior to the Hendricks fight. I think steroid use is way too prevalent in MMA and it's nice to see a champion stand up against that.
I gained a lot of respect for GSP when I found out he was bullied as a kid and got into martial arts to overcome it.
@@perfectsplit5515 lol and he became one of the best or the best ufc fighter ever
If you're natural, you wanna show off how much you achieved naturally.
Anyone who doesn't is probably juicin
@perfectsplit5515 It’s what I should have done. I got bullied as a kid, I was strong, athletic, agile and explosive. I also had a motive confidence in my body, I could get in and out of perilous climbing or situations which means I had isometric and explosive strength enough. All components to at least feel confident to stand up for myself. But I never did. I’m 30 now, getting into mma and it’s therapeutic oddly enough
Respect do that guy.Hes a every good role model for youngers..
His incredible physical condition is what makes him so tough!
Great athlete, remarkable warrior and humble man!
So athletic, he makes everything look so simple and easy.
fucken George I got mad respect for this former fighter if he doesn't fight anymore I well still support him 100%
gsp is a monster. Haters are always going to hate their envy
GSP is one of my heroes. He's a great fighter and a great person.
Which pixel is George?
Concept The big red French speaking one.
I fooking loled
@@bedford4383 now which is the mat?
@POOR PIRANO goof
GSP - icon of MMA , always adapting, never quits, always positive and limitless.
he is very humble...thats why he is one of my idols..
Wait, so he doesn't use Rush Fit for his workouts.....?
what a legend. a true inspiration.
GSP's a genius with all these training methods, he understands that all the martial arts are just a library of techniques for moving the human body and virtually all the principles behind those movements are part of gymnastics.
GSP, admire the man! Brill attitude, awesome fighter!
George's best asset besides his athleticism is his humility. George you are an outstanding fighter, competitor and probably one of the best athlete out there who demonstrates SPORTSMANSHIP. Hats off to ya' brother and may God bless all of your positive endeavors.
Georges i wish you lucky, sucess, and health in your new life and Fuck Off Dana White and UFC. Just be yourself and live your life ... greetings from Brazil ...
R Laranja?
True warrior, he admits his fear and conquers it. He never underestimates his opponent and is always open for improvement. GSP
He is one of the most well-rounded,dynamic athletes in the world!
I disagree with the gymnastic coach. Gymnasts aren't all strengh. There are all strengh, agility, flexibility, speed and basically anything you want in an athlete. That's why GSP is right training gymnastic. That's a good thing to train.
Mens gymnastics are the strongest pound for pound people
Agreed, Craig. Gymnasts probably do have the highest pound-for-pound strength. Even more than power yoga yogis. Gymnastics probably requires more athleticism than any other sport.
@@perfectsplit5515 Definitely when it comes to overall strength/bodyweight ratio in any movement in general. Get any other athlete to try holding an iron cross on the rings and see how well they last vs a solid gymnast and you'll see how big the difference is
Beast!
I've never seen someone so persistently focused.
He comes across as such a humble, nice guy.
At the end of this video he shows a one of the reasons as to why he was so dominant throughout his career. He lost came and back better each of the two times he lost. A match between him and McGregor would be an insanely different collision of attitudes as far as the way they conduct themselves in the treatment of opponents. Conor would be hard pressed to avoid being grappled and struck on the ground f course against GSP, but on the feet too he would get struck as GSP has an excellent super fast shot with his unique Karate style of striking and that superman punch, kick combo is so accurate. The UFC have dropped the ball so many times, and with a guy like GSP it is blindly embarrassing to not negotiate with the highest earner in his time not too long ago.
Goat
+julianwhitee All in Caps GOAT
ROLLINS!!!! This video just got even more awesome.
George is doing something different this time, the guy is always evolving
GSP is a beast! MMA greats are retiring though.
I wanna see Jake Paul vs Gsp in a boxing match 😂
Dude thats fucked up that you wanna see a guy die in the ring.
I would love that just to see jake paul get his ass beat but GSP is a true martial artist who trains to become a better martial artist not to beat guys who he doesnt like gsp would never piss on martial arts by fighting a guy like jake paul unless it was in self defence
Correction: You want to witness Jake Paul being murdered
Can’t imagine GSP just focusing on boxing lol
No
Mad respect for dedication like that. st pierre is the man.
A very humble attitude, something you don't always see in the UFC .
Gymnastics are is actually super hard.... Never tried it but i will sometime do u recommend gymnastic training for wrestlers? Or mma fighters
Agreed. I can barely do the Yoga Firefly Pose, and I still have to use the traction between my arms and legs just to minimally do the pose. But I see female Olympic gymnasts do it with such ease, without even using the leg/arm contact. Gymnastics probably requires the greatest pound-for-pound strength out of any athletic discipline.
GSP did this shit while McGregor is out there having some frat bro push his shoulders and playing hackey sack
he did that exact exercise you said for the Aldo fight and he fucked Aldo. Not so much for Diaz though.
Andrew L y
What an amazing human being! My hero!!
he is actually thinking the right way; by himself, and not with his free mind only, but with his heart as well. Dont change St Pierre, please never change, UFC or not, but for the Olympian spirit you really shows to us all.
What's that song called that plays when he's hitting the bags

maaaaaaaaaaaaaan i see this and i wanna workout so badly!! GSP is a legend and VERY motivational...the way he is...that is how every great fighter should be! Amazing!
I like GSP attitude. Even though everyone says he will walk all over his opponent he's still freaking out and training hard like he is fighting someone better. And of course he ends up dominating his opponent anyway. But he doesn't act like a tough guy who nobody can beat, he always pictures himself as the underdog even when he is the champion.
I honestly don’t think usman could defeat a prime gsp there’s just no way
When in doubt bet on black
1:31 so THAT'S what he would sound like if he spoke perfectly!!! xD
Listen! at 1:29 he has the accent, but when he starts talking after 1:31 his accent slowly dispersers into perfect English xDDD
i agree, i got to meet him back in January and i get to meet him again in May. its gunna be sweet!!!

HOW HARD IS MY HAMMER!
I'd go gay for GSP and I'm not ashamed of that!
Ayo 🤔🤨
I'd love GSP treat MMA as a sport not pure violence.
The most honourable, respectful fighter ever
He is a true professionist, and his attitude is extremly professional...
I admire his umility, intelligence and respectfullness.
A true champion.
Can't wait for his next match ! Gsp !
Watching George jump those bars is poetry in motion , he's like a fricking human loaded spring .
i like his attitude and his training experimenting to be great, but he lack knockout power a lot, and sometimes he fights to get points, rather then finishing a fight, Hendricks won the fight by miles!!
Little late on that comment :P Maybe if GSP did some TRT like other fighters :P
+tokyopp NO , Hendricks lost by inches.
Toxicity-Industry Hendricks was on steroids in that fight mate
Hendricks lost by the 10 point must system. You must not know much about MMA judging criteria.
can't wait for him to come back
You sir, Are my hero.
Beast....training
Georges St-Pierre is my inspiration. What a legend.
Can't argue there.
this is still the best ufc content ever made [primetime/countdown/embedded etc]
A true gentleman and a true artist.
Wow this guy really changed my perspective in gymnastics.
What an athlete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm impressed by his performance
Amazing stuff!
gymnasts are pure badass.
What Georges does is basically the same Arnold Schwarzenegger did when he started taking Ballet classes to mix with his bodybuilding. Both are brilliant men in their own fields. Georges is way ahead of this era.
I love this guy
All I can say is WOW.
Many thanks.
yeah it does work both ways
what an inspiration, anyone else want to be able to train like this?!?!
Much respect
this is some mad training!
he's already the best! great fighter and person
What a great video
Wow, George is propably the most deticated of em all training like this. Looking forward to his next fight whenever it shall happen.
Brilliant
thanks.
Yes. Thats exactly right.
thanks dude
gymnastics is insane conditioning and insane coordination it helps for any pro athlete
gymnastics is awesome .....i wish there was a class here in hawaii hilo..
I wish to have the possibility t train like this, amazing
A couple years ago there was a video of GSP dumbbell pressing 120lb dumbbells for about 6 reps or so. At a fighting weight of 170lbs this is very impressive.
Wow! That is what I aways tought, Gymnastics for MMA! And he is doing that! No doubt he is gonna be the belt's owner for many years! You can see how effective it is by the gymnastic's shapes!
Never heard it be explained better...
AND very important for MMA.
With that single sentence you have shown how much knowledge you have athletics let alone MMA.
thanks pal
good pre-workout vid!
This seriously wants me to be become a true mixed martial artist
Should have nicknamed GSP “The Predator”. Every season they come back with an evolved skillset
L sits muscle ups and head stand push-ups ( yes head stand push-ups hand stand push-ups involve being on an elevated object and your head going below you hands), I love seeing him do calisthenics.
Yeah bro exactly.
I played Rugby league with a dude who was state champ gymnast and he was a machine.
I wish they would release his true full workout i would love to try and get his legs/core
This is impressive. I also like the Batman line from below.
He's back!!!!!!!! :-D
Cheers.
gsp, that is one strong fucking man right there..
