Hi everyone, Steve here. Photoshop has "official" ways to open or add images, like the Open button on the Home Screen, the Place Embedded command for adding a single image to your document or the Load Files into Stack command for importing multiple images as layers. But who needs those when the fastest way to open or add images is to simply drag and drop them directly into Photoshop. I hope this video is helpful!

@@PhotoshopEssentialsChannel I need your help. I'm trying to drag an image from one tab to the next, but Control A and drag is not working. What are my options? Thanks.

@@markmunroe-hz8rf Don’t use Control A. Just drag the image on to the tab.

Just keep in mind with using this method that the images will be placed as smart objects not regular raster layers.

Good point. If a smart object is not what you want, right-click on it in the Layers panel and choose Rasterize Layer.
