    Beckett I've just bought one and it's a good bike I'm having a few little problems but the shop is going to fix it tomorrow. This bike feels li!e a 500 watt bike to me it flies and I can get 40 miles out of the battery. Ive also got a 1000 watt bike and this bike isnt to far behind it just don't expect it to be set up perfect when you get it.

      Yes they didn't have to give me all those extras. Particularly useful are the spare inner tubes. I cary one all the time and think I could swap the front one on the side of the road if I had a puncture. Not the back one though. It's a decent bike, I've done 2100 miles so far and it's probably almost paid for itself in not using the car so much and the savings on diesel

    Alright mate. Brilliant review. I'm having trouble with the error " E 007 " and sometimes " E 009 ". The motor makes a funny noise and the power is intermittent. I've checked the connections that I can see but can't see anything wrong. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

  • @kchoudri

    i got the same bike as yourself, Have you noticed anything dodgy with the shock absorbers? i.e. leaking grease from the seals... and also have you noticed the front wheel rubbing against the mudguard when turning? I noticed the front wheel is wobbly. Even though it is very tightly secured with the release bar. But when I take the front wheel off the bike, I notice the release seems to move as if there are no ball bearings inside where the bar goes.
    Also after riding 70 miles on the road and light gravel, my pedals have given up. The ball bearings are gone, so I had to replace them with new ones.
    Feeling a bit disappointed with this bike, but on the other hand, the customer service so far seems very helpful to suggest different tests. But that is not a fix, so for now I have my bike sitting inside and I cannot ride, due to front wobbly wheel since I got it, and the dodgy shock absorbers.

    • @ptronix
      @ptronix  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks for the comment. I've now done 130 miles on the bike and I've not had a shock absorber problem, very small amount of oil on the tube which I assume is normal and they appear to work fine. I didn't install the mudguard as they seem cheap and flimsy and I've never had mudguards on my previous bike.
      No problems with front wheel I've taken it off several times and doesn't wobble indicating the bearings are fine. Pedals are also fine bearings seem good. One problem I had when riding down really steep hills the front brakes were jerky depending on the wheel position which was quite alarming when you're going fast! I tried adjusting the brake pads which made no difference. So I came to the conclusion the disc must be bent or warped and this was confirmed when I took it off it wouldn't sit flat on a flat table, so I compared it to the spare disc that came with the bike, this was perfectly flat. So I put that one on the wheel and now brakes nearly perfect and I think any minor uneven braking will "wear in" after a few hundred miles.
      All in all I'm happy with it, what it'll be like over time I don't know. But it is a fairly cheap bike and I think its value for money. No shop round here would sell me one for less than £2000!
      Best regards Nick

      @@malcolmjt8985 why bother with a license. Mine does about 17 mph flat out on a flat road. No ones going to bother you if you ride sensibly as I do. I've often been overtaken by racing bikes that aren't electric! If you're really bothered you can set a speed limit in the menu which cuts the power over a certain speed.

    I would point out the throttle is a bit...illegal in britain and europe..thanks to the sprout brigade.
    The throttle classifies it as a moped. So you should register the bike with the DVLA and have motor insurance..at the very least.
    Unless they've changed the law on this but I doubt it.

      @ptronix  Před rokem +1

      @@LukaszStolarczuk What were you shocked about? No throttle is not illegal as far as I know, most of the time I'm pedaling as it's good exercise with the hills round here. There is however a maximum speed limit on power assisted bikes of 15 mph. Mine will do about 18 mph on the flat, fast enough for me. I've now done nearly 2000 miles without any major problems. A couple of punctures. A bit stressful getting the back wheel off because of the wiring to the motor!
      When it arrived and after assembly, had to adjust the brakes and gears ( there's to many, 7 on the back would be enough) and it's not high geared enough most of the time I'm in the highest gear and could do with one higher.
      Also when I was going down a hill I was getting brake fade, pads getting hot and not working properly so I bought better quality pads and now no problems.
