      @scottperry7311 Před 3 lety +14

      Ah, but there is far more time in middle earth than the four ages. First was the creation of unknow time, and the war fought just after it. Then there was the first paradise of the Valar, with the two great lamps, their destruction and the marring of that world and the breaking of the land, another period of unknown time. Then came the age of Valinor and the two trees, when the Valar waited for the arrival of the Elves, which took a great time. The Elves eventually arrived, Melkor was imprisoned, and some of the elves came to Valinor. Melkor remained imprisoned for three more ages. Then Melkor was set free and the next age began around this time, and that age was called the First Age, then came the Second, the Third, and the Fourth. It is not know if there are more ages, for yet the end of the world is far away at the end of Tolkens work.
      I believe that all the songs overlapped to some extent, the first song certainly is the creation of Arda, and the struggles there in, but it has the creation of the Elves within. The last song, more a cord, may be the arrival of Man, who is given the gift of Man and is not bound to Arda. Therefore the songs patch together creation, one an attempt to fix another, with a final twist for the outcome to be as Iluvitar desired. Sadly we may never truly know because only Tolkien can answer all the questions we have with any certainty, and even he molded and changed the underlying foundations of his world several times, and probably had more wonderful thoughts in his mind that remained unwritten.

    • @realmless4193
      @realmless4193 Před 3 lety +5

      As others said, it is much more likely that these themes are not the ages as there is more than one age. But if you note the first theme seems to be the creation of the world, but there are only three times after this we know Illuvitar directly added to the story of the world: the awakening of the elves, the awakening of Men, and the reshaping of Earth. It seems to me that it is most likely each of the new themes introduced are the children of Illuvitar entering the stage, with the second theme being the elves and the third theme being men. All four themes would coalesce in the ages to make the story we know.

    My friend doubted the ingenuity of this lore’s depth. Just from your videos, I was able to explain Tolkien’s epicness to my friend. I did it why recording so I was wondering if like to listen to it. Your hard work has it own legacy. Anyways, respond if you want me to send you the audio file. If not, just keep doing what you are doing. You are bringing in a new generation. You have sold Books for Tolkien and that’s beautiful.

    Honestly, your video is very good, clear and precise. Regardless how simple your animation is but your story is well explained, and made whoever watches this will understand the Middle-Earth lore even better.
    I really hope that your map of middle-Earth is canon and true to the lore, because I've been searching high and low for the complete map for Middle-Earth and sadly I didn't find any except for the small portion around Gondor and Mordor. I really want to know how The Undying Lands looks like but on second thought maybe it's on another planet as it's different realm.
    Anyway love your work and keep it up.
    Speaking of map, while searching for the map for Middle-Earth it made me realized why there's so much empty lands with no inhabitants as if nobody bothers to build a civilization on the free empty land (especially on the far east side of the land and far south too). Like can't any kingdom expand their colony or is it it's simply too hazardous to do so? If you think about it, it's already in the forth age meaning thousands of years already passed by, don't tell me the population is still the same hahahaha.
    Why though?

    05:40 In Serbian language, VARDA is an old archaic word for a "keeper" or a "guardian".
    During the ancient period, there was a tribe called Vardi (or Ardi in Ancient Greek), that ruled the areas of what today is Eastern Herzegovina, Montenegro and Northern Albania.
    Today there are Varda mountain, located on the border between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, a little town called Vardiste, and a village called Varda (in the Kosjeric county). Some local families's last names is also Varda.

      Actually some Russian author had wrote this. And Siliamrillion is written from supposedly objective point of view of what happened, Tolkien wasn't the winner of battles, he's an author. He judges which Side was good and which bad, but there isn't a possibility of "Tolkien lied, in reality Melkor killed nobody and... And it was Manwe who created Angband!" because Tolkien created this reality and just describes it in Siliamrillion.

    You know that J.R.R. Tolkien was a Roman Catholic. He once stated that his Legendarium (specifically The Lord of the Rings trilogy) is a religious and Catholic work. So, what Tolkien basically did here, is take the Christian story and made it his own, or he added Christian elements into his work. He once argued that since Jehovah (the God the Bible) is a creator, and he created man in his own image, and man can also create things, that make man sub-creators. As an atheist, I find this mind-blowing. Any questions?
