- I work as a Senior Developer Advocate at MongoDB and often get asked what it is I actually do. I've been in the Developer Relations space for about 4 years now and in this video, I break down what Developer Relations individuals do on a day to day basis as well as what makes a good developer advocate.
Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below.
I love how you outlined your points and how you explained them. Thank you for this video. I have learned a lot.
Such a good point about not trying to sell. Providing value first is key. Great video!
Absolutely!
thanks. help a lot!
Very good and informative video. Thanks for making this. 👍
Great tips Ado!
Thanks Clark!
Great points, very well written script too. Like the video overall, but I'll give you some constructive criticism (that may be subjective so take it with a grain of salt). It's very obvious you're reading from a prompter/screen and I think it makes the video less natural and less good. I'd personally much rather hear some "umms" than have it feel robotic.
Again, take it with a grain of salt, but I think us dev advocates should be helping each other out with criticism.
This is still such a great and relevant video a year later! I serve as a Developer Advocate intern for a code-security focused startup. Although I do not come from a developer background, I come from Cybersecurity.
Hey! I am new to this field and have an interview tomorrow for DevRel role. Can you suggest what could be the possible Questions(Non Tech) that the jury can ask me?
@@heartroyspartan9635 My role aligned with my background which is more focused on community and content.
its clear you're reading from a script, makes it unintresting tbh
