I opened some insane packs on the topps site.
For the risk of $2250 + shipping and tax, I got to open 1 card per pack, and in 5 packs I was lucky enough to open 5 different Wemby sigs!
Can you imagine? 5 different packs, 5 different Wemby sigs?
I swear to god I’m like the luckiest guy in prison.
It’s like opening a National Treasures from Panini and actually getting good cards!
you do realize that those were guaranteed autos for $2250 right? they were guaranteed to be at least /99 with the chance of lower numbered or the 1/1 why would anyone spend 2250 for just the chance of an auto thats insane

It’s a pack with 1 card, and the pack is called “VW-01 through VW-07”. It’s a cool set with a chance at a Wemby sig!! Completely random. It could be anything, could even be a boat.
Also they make… 66 per release? I don’t think it goes up to 99… idk.
What I do know is that I have friends in the NBA. I have a ton of stuff signed by KD and all the Nets, I have an intense amount of Luka stuff. Like Luka gives me way too much stuff.
I got the Luka signed jersey, signed shorts, signed shoes… I’m running out of things for Luka to sign.
When it comes to Wemby, it’s simple.
1 - I have the money to afford to buy these cards. As a fan, I enjoy buying his first signed cards and that is capable when you COLLECT and not try to flip everything. (Also all of these sigs double or triple when you get them)
2 - I know Wemby from the other guys I know in the NBA. But even he says he has issues with getting stuff signed bc of the contract. I don’t push him. I got him already to sign a Nets jersey for me.
The only time I pressured someone was when I was joking with KD and he signed a ball for me that says “Trade Me Please”.
It’s one of the joys of collecting cards of players you like.
I also have a media room in my house and I have 40 signed jerseys on the wall and under each jersey is like 2-4 of the most valuable cards I can put under them.
Got baseball, soccer, football, basketball, no f-ing clue what hockey is.

But I do have 2 VIP tickets to Fanatics NYC which will have Tom Brady, Kevin Durant, and I will be able to throw things at Derek Jeter and yell at him all day that the Yankees suck.
And I’m only using both tickets on Friday, and I’ll have 1 extra VIP for Sat/Sun.
