The Thiruppavai (Tamil: திருப்பாவை) is a Tamil devotional poem attributed to the female poet-saint Andal (also known as Nachiyar, Kodhai or Goda Devi). It consists of thirty stanzas (paasurams) in praise of Thirumal (a manifestation of Lord Vishnu). It is a part of Divya Prabandha, a collection of the works of the twelve Alvars, that is considered an important part of the devotional genre of Tamil literature. In Thiruppavai, Andal gives a universal call to all people to recite the name and glories of Lord Vishnu.
    DAY 9:
This Paasuram is explained in such a way that Sri Andal wakes up her cousin (Uncle's daughter) who is still in sleep.
Hey cousin! Your house is architected with full of Navarathnams and its fully glowed by lights. And, you are in the silky bed. Is this sleep your Art (or) hobby? Did you hear our voice?
And after this, Sri Andal asks the cousins mother (her Mami) that at least she can wake her up (or) did she become deaf (or) dumb without answering for towards her. "Did any mantram have made her sleep for a long time? We all are chanting the great Naamams of Sriman Narayanan as Madhavan, Sri Vaikundan. Is these Naamams did hear by you? Please wake up!".
