    In regards to the Santander edge cashback credit card you have given wrong information, You have to hold a current account with them to get the card I know this cos I have the card you can't apply unless you put your Santander current account sort code and account number in the application.

      Since you have the current account with them, does that mean that you pay £6 for both the current account and the credit card?

      @@olubodundavid2412 Hi, you dont need to pay a fee for the currect account you can have the normal account you just have to have a currect acount to have the credit card so you can just pay the £3 FEE for the credit card.

      @@olubodundavid2412 this is a bit of a late reply so you may have already figured this out, but you don’t need to have the edge current account (which is the “premium” one with the £3 fee). Chris Corcoran was saying that you just need to have any Santander current account, so a regular free Santander current account works just as well. I applied with a Santander student current account which has no monthly fee and they accepted me. Therefore if you have a regular CA then you would only be paying the £3 fee for the credit card, rather than £3 for the card and £3 for the edge current account. Hope that helps!

    £144 PA, 2% sounds sexy but because of the cap, for me the AMEX is a clear winner.

      £144 a year is amazing for me just by doing my everyday spending, I have stopped using my Amex I was only getting 0.5% with amex and 1% above 10k also Amex can't be used everywhere as this is a MasterCard no issue everyone will take it.

    Can you open a Santander everyday account put £10 in it, then open the edge credit card but have the direct debit come from a natwest account

    The cards that offer travel insurance are okay for younger users but once you get over 60? the top up contributions make them not so great. 🤔

  • @georgewood00
    @georgewood00 Před 4 měsíci +3

    Hey Andy. Is there still a £3 fee if you already pay the £3 fee for the edge current account? Or is the fee all rolled into one?

    • @Chris-Corcoran
      @Chris-Corcoran Před 4 měsíci +2

      Hey i can help you with this question , Yes you still pay the free on your current account even if you have the Edge credit card so if you have both you will pay both fees. Hope this helps

    Santander Edge credit card: You need to have a Santander personal UK current account, be aged 18 or over, have an income of £10,500+ per year, live in the UK permanently and not already have a Santander Edge credit card. All credit is subject to status and credit checks.
