  • Today we need to install a sliding screen door in our b&b cottage. The sliding door I bought at Costco is a "in store only" model. As soon as I find the receipt, I'll put here in the description. Here are two from Amazon:

Thanks for watching our videos! If you want to visit our farm and stay in the b&b, go to www.millgapfarms.com. We also have Virginia’s only USDA Organic Maple Syrup available for you to enjoy too!
Our videos are for entertainment purposes only. Do not try any stunts like these unless you have your own channel and plenty of insurance. No animals were harmed in the making of these videos, except for maybe Kevin. #maplesyrup #makingmaplesyrup #farming #maplefarm
This an "affiliate link" where you can purchase the same item we bought. As we understand affiliate links, if you use this link we may receive a tiny commission on the sale because we showed you the product. Sort of like that movie Office Space. It the tiny fractions of cents that add up, that nobody notices and over time we make money. As an Amazon Affiliate Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

These doors are nifty for sure. I wish I could have rescreened the old one. I about lost my mind trying. It has to be fully uncoiled then a new screen installed. I found a new door at Costco and my problem was solved. Thanks for watching and leaving your thoughts. Kevin

I think all installation times are generated by a secret society of house wife's!
This way, they can tell us, "It's only a half hour of your day. Then you can do what you want. " 😁

You mean like putting in an "a" pillar? Ask any adjuster and they will tell you, Bob down the street can put one in about 2.5 hours... including prepping the used one... Thanks for watching P of B! Kevin

@MillGapFarms Ha,ha,ha! Yes, Sir! I know you, we, have seen a thing or two!! 😂
      Story Time....
Working at a garage that had two garages in a horse shoe configuration. A tire only shop across the parking from us then our garage. Customer wanted tires for their car. "We" were too expensive for tires and we recommend a brakes. Customer drive across parking lot, bald tires and squealing brakes.
An hour or so goes by.... customer leaves tire shop and has to pass our bay doors to exit the parking lot.
Right front wheel falls off the car as he passes our bay door. Rotor hits and digs into the pavement. They did not put the lug nuts back on the wheel.
I walked out and asked if he wanted us to fix that for him. Needless to say, he was not happy and did not want to have a conversation with me. Now the tires and brake job from us would have been cheaper than the damage done to his right front corner alone.

I'm just curious. Why is your door installed out-swing. I know commercial buildings have to be for "Panic" situations. Is it the same for your cottage?

I would have to say the previous owner who built that house and ours, were concerned with space inside the cottage. If the back door where you walk in were to open inside, it would either block the steps or the stove. And for the front door where I installed this new screen, the door would protrude past the wall. What do you think? Thanks for watching! Kevin
