one big positive I see here is that most of the carnage is happening due to lack of skills and not due to dirty driving......which is a good sign for the future of the game as these racers will get faster with experience and go into A plus lobbies and hopefully they will carry same sportsmanship
Totally agree. My first thought was, that I don't like these kind of showing-off videos, since many A/A+ drivers tend to treat the B drivers as AI drivers, ploughing through the field, elbows out. This is much dirtier than an lower lobby driver can get. This driver here seems to be clean, gaining P5 was a bit questionable, IMHO.
Yes, I'm B rated, too. Skill is there, but lacking pace (if that makes sense), I'm simply too slow. I'm even 2 seconds behind the pole setter in this video, but did only a couple of laps and no race yet.

The funny thing is I've been B rated for so damn long. Every time I get close and enter with all A or A+ I meet dirty drivers. It's nuts I see people being taken out so they can't pass the person then the same happens to me and then my rating tanks. It puzzles me because I thought the higher you go the cleaner it gets.
@@nicholase6552 Sorry to burst that bubble. I guess with the huge amount of B drivers there's quite a bottleneck, everyone's getting desperate and therefore elbows out in order to achieve the A rating. I don't know, just assuming. In GTS, as soon as I passed the 27K mark, it's always getting worse. In GT7 I haven't even tried. Fun fact: there are quite a few well-known dirty drivers to be seen on YT. Guess their rating.
@@nicholase6552 some players in higher rated lobbies take the game way too seriously and hence you get such results...some of them are overly aggressive while defending
@@nicholase6552 I was in the same situation , what I did was just wait until there’s a race that suited me and banged in the laps and the A will come 👍 Staying there is just as hard 😂
I will say the biggest difference I can see at first glance is, how much more of the track you actually use to take corners faster. Its crazy how much of a difference it makes.
Ye this is something I never realized until I watched more CZcamsrs racing. Some tracks I couldn't understand why I was so far off. But it's all about track limits and getting on the throttle as early as you can. Plus spend more time on qualifying. Makes huge difference
@@cobyjim This car has a ton of lateral grip as well, so it doesn't punish those wide corner entries. With a 2022 F1 car, the rear would slide and you over-steer if you tried throwing the car in like this.

Lol played GT as a kid and haven’t played in years, but this just looked like a clean run. Wasn’t impressed by the technique, but the execution and knowledge of what the car was capable of was nice
Track knowledge is also huge. Remembering on a very finely detailed level what all the characteristics of each turn are means you can replace caution with precision.
The one thing I noticed more than anything here is the respect and sportsmanship you show.
It's very common with higher ranked drivers in B lobbies that acts as if they are entitled to the pass, push or barge through with no disregard for the other players game.
It's especially common among some CZcamsrs.
I was pleasantly surprised to see touhandle the interactions so well.

Someone who knows they are being watched will usually behave in a way that is more advantageous to their own image.
Thanks a lot for not making a big intro an long introduction but just coming to the point and start the race. So rare to see such direct presentation of actual content. I played a lot of GT uo to about 5 years ago and I am very pleased to see, that there seems to be some nice racing culture now in the game. Very nice and very clean driving, a pleasure to watch

I've been in a few really dirty lobbies as you may see on my channel 🤣
I just wish the daily races would introduce more grid starts, just like in the real world of racing (aside from NASCAR, IndyCar, Le Mans 24, etc). With some of these races the pole sitters have a 20 second plus lead on the last car when the lights go green.
I wish the grids were packed tighter like in real life. never seen a real life race where the cars are so spaced out
A lot of races IRL have a rolling start (such as GLTC) but typically not nearly that spaced out
@@elijahsalberg1604 I was primarily talking about Europe, the UK, Asia, Australia, etc. Grid starts are by far the norm in those countries whereas rolling starts are quite common in the US. But as you correctly pointed out, there is far too much spacing between cars on rolling starts in GT7.
All races on gt7 should be, qualifying lap, grid start. Trying to make up 20 second gap in 5 laps is bullshit. One of the reasons I really hate this game

This is not only about controller vs wheel like many here state... I am BS rank and have a fanatec dd.
Personally I don't have nearly enough time to do enough races to practice nor do I have the finesse to do the same 3 races over and over week after week. I just get bored and turn to another game for a while reseting my skill level slightly...

Thats the key isn't it. I have these things called hobbies which means I dont get on GT7 enough. Its like looking at the GT world series guys and thinking yep theres virgins

Was really interesting the grip you seem to have. I'm a B/A rated driver, on a controller and I was so jealous of how smooth you can turn. And of course jealous of your sheer speed!.
well you said it. Playing a racing game on controller is like eating soup with a fork. You are getting a taste but definitely not the whole experience.
Probably why i never come first in a daily race💀 cause they be using the wheel
@@theothegreat4459 i came first twice with controller at brands hatch gr4 , to be fair though it was on a monday ha ha , never won one since , although im very happy if i gain a couple positions to be honest
I have a PS3 era wheel but it's not compatible and I'm not sure I want to win enough to buy a new one.
Get a decent wheel bro, it's night and day difference. Your skills might not translate right away, but with a bit of practice, it'll drastically improve your game and lap times.
That screen transition would've been incredible if it had the French narrator from Spongebob saying "45 second laateeeuur" 🤣🤣

This was cool to watch. Havent played a Gran Turismo since the 1st! Love the commentary, "he's a bit quicker than me but he has to brake earlier".
Watching this was satisfying, Just ranked up to A but I still got allot to learn
I remember this when the game came out. Hard to get out of those ratings if you are in them. Took a while to get back up to S class after a mistake.
For someone in b rank I say that there is a lot of carnage in every race
Only suggestion because you race with manual is to drop a gear on a turn & to hit corners rally style with redlining RPM’s - braking & changing gears is half the battle, changing gears during turns or not becomes a challenge in itself but you’ll shave off some seconds
I do it in real life when driving my Supra. Great advice!

It's literally the main part of racing. Always about the corners anyone can go fast in a straight line 🤘

As a B ranked driver it happened sometimes to win a race against A+ ones. I like to believe they wasn't racing seriously tho. However, gg to all A+. I wish I could have time to play as they
I only recently picked up gt7- haven't raced in several years.... I used to play iracing and Assetto Corsa on PC, I made my own little cockpit out of wood and used a G27, so I still have that sitting in the garage... I'm wondering if there's an adapter I can use on the g27 to make it fully functional on the ps5? Or am I screwed and need a new wheel? It's hard to go back to a controller after a wheel lol

You're lines where more precise I'd see them taking good lines but they'd get nervous when you they saw you also them allowing you to slip stream. But it's more of confidence they need to work on

These guys were respectful. I am thrown into lobbies where they lean into me on corners , hit my tail so I spin out. It’s frustrating.

He drives really clean, not crashing into anything. Why do I often "drift" when braking (maybe too late or too hard pressing brakes?) and crash into the wall or other cars
Try to brake on straights, and it also sounds like adjustment issues of your car.

First time here - first of all, nice video. second - im wondering if this game is called a sim racer?! im not really into this, so please dont hate me ^^ im just a watcher ;)
I would like to see a video where you get the all class licenses in only 1 attempt per level for licensing. like i did on grand turismo 6. and no one online would race me because of this showing in my stats records. I have s class racing style. I like grand turismo 6 because the fairladyz 1967 i think. on one track you can go ballout 200+mph into one corner and just let go of the steering and the car will naturally drift the corner.
Want to know who's better ? Scew online games, split screen is the way to go!!!
