Default textures are normally purple and black so it’s easier to developers to find before the game is released. However on occasion you can find different and more weird default textures if you look for the right game

New headcanon about marx's ball attack: The ball bombs are stocked endlessly in the hat, and because Marx is visually absent from the aerial ball drop with the animation break mod, the balls just flood forth from the hat with no moderation.

btw, the purple eyes is likely mark of a texture error. I've played Gmod abit in the past, and that "game", whenever a model's texture has an error and cannot load said error'd texture, it tends to have a "texture" of a checkerboard pattern of purple and black. I assume it's the same case with this mod.
