Castle Story is a creative voxel-based strategy game in which you can build castles one brick at a time using an army of little creatures called Bricktrons. Design and build your own castles, expand your territory in a vast landscape and defend your Bricktrons against onslaughts of hostile creatures.

"We should have build a tunnel!" - YES, you definitely should consider tunnels for defense. They are better and quicker than walls. Obviously the stairs out from the tunnel must be on the other side, and hence during construction you need a small 2 stone bridge to get your Bourgies back. Go deeper and deeper without collecting stones, and then retreat. Between waves make it deeper, when you can. The last Bourgie to come over the bridge then needs to remove 1 of the stones of the it, and you'll be good. Better even: if you have a large plane field like in the previous map, you can use tunnels to create a maze where the waves will walk left and right as far as you can stretch it. This is perfect for the blue archers and for sentinels to have time to take them all out. With this strategy it is easy to get to wave 60+ on hard. It's almost like Desktop Tower Defense.
I am utterly impressed by your strategy and would apply in my save too.

Just got into Castle Story, glad to see there are still active members after all these years! I noticed the last time it was updated was 2018 (correct me if I'm wrong), so I was afraid the community may be dead - glad to see I was mistaken.
Sadly the company kinda went belly up. They are technically not "shut down" but mostly everyone was layed off way back in 2019. Since then it has pretty much been radio silence so it doesn't look great for more games or updates for Castle Story.
I'm thinking about getting it but because of the lag I held off buying yet do you think I should (I don't mind lag that much)

I was watch this befor but I forgot about it but now I don't so keep up the very good work.
Catapults should be able to launch bricktrons.
With the way they work half the time they would just launch the Bricktron straight up xD
devs actually had that feature but didn't leave it even on cheat panel or anywhere close, for some reason. same with biftrons throwing minitrons
I thought enemies spawn a wave on every player crystal so they do scale, might be just different mod version.
Never thought of assigning bricktrons to tasks to reduce lag (you can RMB on task panel). I knew the amount of stockpiles increases lag tho.

This was the third game I ever bought on steam. Honestly the previous gameplay was so much simpler and fun. I tried playing the other day for the first time in years and the GUI is a cluster fuck of over complicated controls and none of the crafting makes sense. No wonder they went bankrupt.
