i recently heard Kevin Costner describing his early days - working hard to get a career going. he said he knew he was going to be able to have a career and earn a living as an actor, when he got hired on one particular film. no filming had taken place yet, no money had been paid, he’d just been hired - by a director he respected and for a role he resonated with and driving home he knew with certainty that this was it - he was on his path, he felt the momentum of the moment. once they got started he loved the job, working with the talented and creative director and the amazing ensemble cast and the film turned out to be a huge hit (The Big Chill)… but Kevin was completely edited out - i think you see his right hand for two seconds. it was a choice the director made for the whole of the film, not because there was anything wrong with his performance. Kevin’s career took off just as he knew it would when he felt the alignment of the moment. we know it when we feel it. doesn’t matter what it looks like from the outside or what anyone else sees or thinks. it’s our alignment ✨it’s our knowing ✨ it’s our path ✨💖✨
