    Good to see proper guys who don't bend split pins flat around the pin they go through. Some certain circumstances, it is right to do so but it will be where they are easy to remove - say a wheel bearing retaining nut. The vast majority of times it is only needed to spread the pin. I have never ever seen one fall out. Nice work guys.

    there is a hydraulic fitting under the conveyor on the very bottom of the cone housing, next time you change a liner break that fitting loose and the cone housing will come off much easier. the hyd line im talking about works a hyd brake for the cone, also there are a couple knobs in a compartment on the control display side, turn those knobs all the way to the minus symbol. will make removal of housing so much easier. ive learned these things the hard way. good work brother!

    Another great video Baz, you probaly know this already, when replacing a new cone , when you poor the mazel in around the mantel don't do it when its raining, any water with the mazel will not let it set properley, and the ring and mantel will not hold tight, That crusher would have been making a hell of a noise with that being loose, to wear that much it must have been loose for quite a while,

    If this isn't real world engineering Baz, nothing is. I'm not sure what I think of that cone design. The work these machines do is unbelievable day in, day out. I'm surprised they don't need an overhaul every month. Love the determination to suceed and positive energy. A great inspiration when some of us think we're having a s**t day because the coffee machine doesn't work. This is now one of the best CZcams channels out there. Hi Baz and crew, Im watching from the USA. more specifically Marquette Michigan. Way north on the south shore of Lake Superior. The worlds cleanest and largest fresh water lake. I know how it is to work in less than ideal conditions. We get a lot of cold and snow here. On average 300 inches of snow during the winter.
    I was wondering the difference between the cone and jaw crusher?
    I am a builder here in Marquette, we build new houses primarily, and work year around despite the weather. I enjoy watching your channel. its neat to see a different aspect of construction and its interesting. I also enjoy repairing anything broken.
    I found your channel through The Ashville loader bucket rebuild.

      @welderfabber  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Hi Ben
      The difference between the cone and jaw crusher is. The cone is for quarry’s only and can crush down to much smaller size material. Where as the jaw crushers can go on demolition site and steel can go through the jaw, re bar (small steel). Jaw crushers on crush down to 40 mm cone down to 10mm. 👍

    So I do t want to be that guy but you need to read the procedures more thoroughly, you used the wrong grease on the upper frame it’s a special bentinite so it locks and won’t slip very important.
    the liner that the concave sits in is replaceable you can thermite that out and replace.
    You couldn’t get the upper frame out because of the lock wedges not being unpressurized then you pushed on them with the jacks and locked them together also I think when they found that upper in the shed that was an sand liner check that before you start crushing to make sure that they didn’t change the wedge or you’ll destroy the pinion and bull gear from lack of area on the throw!! That’ll cost you 10’s of thousands of dollars
