US and NATO aid will help push back Russia says former Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko adding "buying time" in 2014 was crucial to Putin's defeat in the siege of Kyiv.

As an American, I constantly emailed Speaker Mike Johnson, He's my US Representative. I guess he listened to me, sorry, so sorry Ukraine, we the people were always behind y'all.
I lied about where I live on his contact form to leave no kind words. His delay was and always be enraging.
The problem wasn't Ukraine, it was funding for the US border, OUR border was blocked. Plus CIA admitting the corruption that eats huge chunks of the aid, bad Leaders who theaten volunteered troops for bribes, then waste them intentionally for propaganda or incompetence... When the CIA thinks corruption is too high it must be insane.
Better late than never, it's a shame these fronts in Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan have become "political." Johnson saw this and realized they could not play this game much longer. I think the Dems will save him when MTG moves in on his impeachment.
We must get rid of the fool Margery Taylor Green from Congress!
I remember this man. 2022 when we thought Kiev was about to fall he was waiting for the RuZZians to come with a gun in his hand. He does not like Zelensky but in 2022 he remained fiercely loyal. A dissenting Poroshenko would have been extremely dangerous to Ukraine but he was loyal. In those days we all did see that Ukrainians can be outstandingly brave. Also: It was on his watch when the ukrainian forces were reshaped and reorganized. 2014 the army was brave and inept. 2022 the ukrainian soldiers were Spartans and Athenians altogether. Fierce and smart.
Poroshenko is loyal to Ukrainians
That time of ukrainian heroism is long gone - they are fighting in other countries
Poroshenko and Zelenskyy are political rivals. But you don't need to be political friends to fight for the same cause in defending your country against an aggressor. It's an existential crisis. Their political differences won't matter if Russia wins and Ukraine becomes a vassal state like Belarus.

Bots hate such comments.
In pictures, Putin appears to be a child standing next to the president from Belarus.

Russia has been fighting for 10 years in Ukraine why do you keep saying 2 year's
Poroshenko you are History
Thanks Kate, an interesting conversation, from a direct perspective. Although your question about whether he would welcome the opportunity to defend himself in court could have been worded differently. The right of reply is the 3rd pillar of the concept of natural justice our system is based on. But I wouldn't welcome having to do it in court, except as a last resort, because it taints the context. I think He has a strong point about the Russian's influencing and turning politics into a quagmire, to suit themselves, using misinformation propaganda and deception, as for example they have done so publicly to intrude in the US system, media and Congress. You could ask the same type of question to Fox in the US, they should be ashamed to be Russia's mouthpiece .
The BBC has a nasty editorial staff. I get the feeling that Kate didn't put this question by choice🎉🎉🎉
50 countries and their puppet master USA proxy Ukraine against 🇷🇺Russia and they lost😂😂😂
You are a wonderful journalist to take Proshenko on, he is a slippery fellow.
That's pretty rotten to bring up his personal past when he just got through saying it's important to bring the country together to unite because they're in the middle of a horrific war. I hate when journalists take pop shots just to get a name for themselves. This man's life along with all the other Ukraines are at risk. And the fact that he's stayed in Ukraine during this war should give him amnesty, forgiveness and pardons. It's sickening to hear the journalist go after him, makes my stomach churn that the good conversation is turned into a totally uncomfortable one. Shame on you Miss Journalist. To bait and switch in the middle of an interview is the most rotten trick you can do to someone by putting them on the spot. I'm an American looking at this behavior from afar and it sickens me! Do a separate interview if you want to question him on his personal past. Gawd..I won't watch anything this journalist does anymore because I can't stand seeing people who are trying to do good get trapped Into an uncomfortable situation.
Pedro Poroshenko is a man of people, a man of Patriotism and dignity !
I thought the Russians withdrew from Kyiv voluntarily as part of the Turkey March 2022 negotiations terms.
Im honestly surprised youtube didnt censor that comment...
Yes and they would only have lost Crimea and now they'll lose half their country.
You're clearly armed with Kremlin talking points and their narrative. Let's leave it at that . . .
Others would call what went down in Turkey a russian trap.
Why would anybody trust you?
putin doesn't withdraw voluntarily from anything

Zelensky didn’t want a ride, he wanted ammunition… poroshenko took the ride 🤷🏼♂️🇺🇦🇺🇦 Zelensky is a modern thinking, clever, younger president and ukraine needs him… 👏👏🇺🇦🇺🇦
Do you NOT realize the puppet that pres Z is? Boris told pres Z to abandon the nearly completed U/R conflict resolution, and puppet pres Z obediently walked away from the settlement on the table. Ironically, Russia was agreeing to remove all Russian forces out of Ukraine and return to Russia. Then, in April 2022 NATO intruded, and the war was on.
And how did Poroshenko "take the ride"?......you truly are full of BS Karen from USA!
Why you are not helping Ukrainian grandma’s? WARPIG
Well said!!!🇺🇦🇬🇧
Wrong on every count. But after the war, after the war.
All need to understand it!. Western countries believe that it is only a matter of a good package of weapons and ammunition, they forget that the invaders had almost last year to fortify themselves in addition to an arsenal that seemed unlimited. The Ukrainians are slow but they must think that Ukraine is the battle line of all of Europe, without it they would quickly reach the Baltic countries, Moldova, Poland and others.
Ukrainians - don't take him back as a president. He could become a problem. Where he's now could well be a good place for him. But but but... he's only rambling around his wonderfulness and powerfulness, without listening or respecting the other ones.. That sends shivers through my spine..

Thank you 💛 both for the update on Ukraine's last president. It's obvious that he doesn't want to discuss the charges against him. I think all politicians are corrupt in one way or another.
Good man, Poroshenko. What an admirable people, their country, their determination to not be enslaved. Slava Ukraini! I hope and pray Ukraine crushes Putler to such an extent that Russia will not be able to come back for a second round, as he did in Chechnya and Georgia, despite signing peace agreements. His signature is less valuable than loo paper.
I always check this channel for funny coping mechanisms.

why have a guest on and then not let him speak by keep interupting him! Get rid of the interviewer
Why didnt Poroshenko do more to prepare for the attack 2y ago, why was the bridges from Crimea not mined 9y ago after Crimea was occupied. Why was the bridge over Dnipro not mined 9y ago already?
Sure Zelensky made mistakes from start, but he took over your failed policies and preparation.
Poroshenko business is build on previus corruption in both Ukraine and ruSSia.
But sure Poroshenko should get credit for what he did after the attack 2y ago, but fact is that he was a failed president.
Exactly
PAY MORE ATTENTION. The General in charge of mining the Bridge was a Russian plant who let the Russians cross it.
I can't say I agree with that, he had a very difficult job in a difficult time , he did more than people think to help Ukraine
