I like to tie a "chubby style" it's like the ribbed style but instead of ribs I'll tie on laser or ice dubbing to give the body a "chubby" look to mimic wider body bait like shad. You can use chenille but you have more control with dubbing.

I need some pointers on tying bucktail so it doesn't flair up when I tighten the wrap on the hook, for some reason it always ends up puffed up.
@@Capt.JorgeMoran There are three main things to watch out for. First. Choosing the buctail that is towards the tip of the tail instead of the hollower fibers that are at the base. Second: start with loose wraps then tighten up. Third: use a flat thread like Danvile's 210 flat wax nylon. This is better for bucktail than a round thread as it grips and pulls down instead of wanting to crimp into the fiber and make it flair up.

Hey Jesse. Nice variety. I'm sitting at my bench right now and tying these up. I've tied many standard Clousers, but these will just add to my box selection. I like ostrich herl so I'm starting with that one. What are some of your fav color combos?
I like the white/chartreuse obviously. Orange and Olive barred with brown sharpie, and black/purple.

Quick stupid tip: put some girls on the thumbnails sometimes to reach more viewers... that's dumb but that's how YT works. I made a girl fish once and put her on the thumbnail without any specific intention and the video made 50x more views (100K... to be exact). It pissed me off because sometime you can try to make good content and you spend tones of time on it but it doesn't reach any viewers, and then because of the stupid thumbnail with a Savage gear lure or a girl on it you reach thousand dudes.
Anyway, keep it up.
