    I eat a small piece of 92% cacao daily. It's healthy, is just sweet enough to want it yet just bitter enough to where you don't want a lot. I saw a research article on this a few months ago and they said 92% cacao was the healthiest (yes even better then 100%). You also want the sugar ingredient to NOT be in the top 3 ingredients listed.

      But, Dr. Li promotes Vosges Chocolate as a high-quality dark chocolate overall. He doesn't specifically mention if whether or not this dark chocolate brand is better for those with diabetics. My apologies for the incomplete answer, but you should really consult your healthcare provider. They've probably received this question before and can give you a better educated answer.

    does heating the chocolate take nutrients away??

    • @vitazenhealth
      @vitazenhealth  Před měsícem

      As long as you don't change the item chemically, generally a food's nutritional value shouldn't change. But, I will admit that we could not find much peer reviewed research that examines the consequences of heating chocolate.

    What brand of cacao is best???

    • @vitazenhealth
      @vitazenhealth  Před 2 měsíci +1

      The "Best" is subjective. But, Dr. Li recommends any chocolate with an 80% or higher cacao and no refine sugar. He specifically mentioned that he sometimes uses CocoaVia (formerly known as CocoaPro) single serve sticks to help incorporate cacao into his daily routine -> amzn.to/3Jcs1R3

    If you stuff yourself like the woman in this documentary you will put on a lot of weight which is hardly healthy. Moreover like all these health suggestions it requires a high volume intake and like anything else you will soon get sick of it. Two big cups of intensely rich chocolate a day? In practice most people will get sick of it. That’s not to mention the prohibitive cost.
