- SPOILERS
This not only is considered one of the most GREATEST secrets next to the Banana gun, but it also is the way you can make your kill count to 2, if your going pacifist.
But hey, that's the way you get the super charge in that level as well.
To all the people who complain about impossible pacifist runs because of the bosses:
- Krotera is skipped if you don't kill anyone until his battle
- Asha doesn't count as a kill
- Iosa doesn't count as a kill if you have 0 kills until her battle (because you don't kill her :P, emphasis on "you")
- Proxima is a machine. You can't kill machines.
- Asha's second battle can be skipped, WATCH THIS VIDEO.
- Tor dies from a counterattack, which don't count.
To those who complain about a HARD pacifist run because of the enemies:
- Use the reflector. Seriously.
Another pacifist hint that you probably already came up with: Ignore Assimilate and Attack. You might want to ignore Tasen and Komato most of the time, but you'll need to reboot in Sector X that way.
So the only way to be a true pacifist is to get hold of the biggest meanest weapon you can lay your hands on. Brilliant!
@JayTheHelmetGuy You are correct. My stats sucked so bad after i rebooted to make the nuke. I had two health nodes the whole way there cause my health was at like level ONE. When i got there, i used the nuke.
Not only did it NOT kill him, but the recoil from the blast sent me flying off the platform and into the electricity....which, considering the fact that i only had two health nodes, killed me instantly. Hall of fail material there. I WILL beat him though. I always have a plan. ALWAYS. >: I
you can get him in one kill with the nuke while he's visible
If you read the text there, the blast doors there are specifically designed to stop the nuke weapon. It is a pointless endeavor.
Actually, it makes your kill count a nice round 0
If you do it right, that is.
Because the general I think kills himself or is killed by some assassin, it's quite unclear.
Iosa is killed by Ansaksie, when you deactivate her nanofield.
Elite Krotera is killed by that blue tasen dude.
& anytime you "kill" an assassin, they just teleport away.
Oh, & if you set the trapmine at the teleporter at the end of that one sector, it doesn't count as a kill, if you don't, it does count.
That's the best Komato Weapon Combined with the best Tasen weapon. It's awesome.
On the hardest (and second-hardest) level, you can only get 3 levels per sector.
Huh, I guess I'll need to do a nanofeild reboot to finish my pacifist run.
Actually, secrets are usually like that... You need to learn how to use your weapons in right places at right time.
In extreme you pretty much have to kill him. or you can reboot and get the weapon. But that passing that large gap of hard enemies with 4 Hp on Extreme mode might be harder than killing Asha himself...
Thanks! Now I can finally finish my pacifist run.
Your maximum level is 5 * the current area, not 5+level you had at the end of the previous area. So you can level up to 10 at area 2 even if you weren't level 5 at the end of area 1.
Luckily I was able to get everything I needed in order to actually complete my pacifist run... Now I just need to complete the game on higher difficulties. Not to mention get all the posters.
First time through the game, beaten it, had ONE kill. I think I killed a random alien by hitting it with the top of a turret. T_T
Actually, I was surfing CZcams and someone went extreme pacifist-- and won the game with ZERO kills. It's possible.
Awesome.. O.o
Though, I'm curious if Krotera can be spared. though if he isn't..that means either Iosa or Tor can be spared.
Iosa seem's likely if Iji is a pacifist..since she's not completely batshit crazy from killing everyone. She'd probaby disable the sheild and do something else.
Though if you already know, don't tell me..i'd like to see for myself.
well if that's the case then that means Iosa is not avoidable either as the first battle with Asha isn't a "kill" either as he doesn't die.
Nuts..oh well.
That's hard mode.
@JayTheHelmetGuy ...it's been a while i know, but you said that if i equip the nuke and fire it at asha, it's a one hit kill right? Cause, i can't beat that unfair bastard. If it's not the instant laser, it's the combos he does with them that make him impossible. Like shooting a ground laser causing me to jump, then he either waits on the ground with a slash, a ground slam, or those electric mines. And i could've sworn he could dodge all nano weapons! That includes the nuke dude. I'll try it.
you need to use the shotgun, his honer depends in not dodging that "stupid weapon that beated him"
Reboot your nanofield.
XD
Well..you -could- just let me know if Krotera is avoidable...or if you know how to do the rocket jump. LOL! XD
I did this but with the big yellow gun, it destroyed the orb but I still have to fight asha and Ive got 0 kills.
I just did that! :D It was one of the hardest things I have ever done unfortunately I did not record it! :(
How is that a secret exactly? On my first playthrough, I figured it out right away lol (even though I went to fight Asha anyway, didn't understand it allowed me to skip the fight)
is that no OTHER way not to kill asha? cause i miss that weapon and my current kill count is 0 in sector x
what is the barbana gun? this game has soo many secrets
@marioman361 oops I tried it a while ago and apparently it only works with asha one
Krotera is unavoidable. General Tor doesn't count as a kill (if you played the game you'd know why.) Iosa is unavoidable (I think.)
You can perfectly get 0 kills easily, its not even hard.
On normal level it's not that hard ;)
