Those little dresses are looking very nice!!! The cotton lining is a very good idea.

Hello Diana! I love the shorts and shirt you're wearing! The girls dresses are coming along nicely! Yes, I know who the mystery VIP is, what an honor! How exciting! Great pictures! I watched some videos about how to repair a frayed shirt collar. Some recommendations are to replace the entire collar with a like colored fabric, or, trim off the damaged part and repair it with extra fabric, which I'm thinking you don't have any. You might, if you can, remove the collar and replace it, even if it's with a solid color fabric. Good luck! Have a great weekend!

How exciting to have such a distinguished visitor to your husband’s office! My daughter baked the sourdough chocolate chip cookies recipe and they were delicious like soft batch cookies. I also have the Pampered Chef apple peeler & corer & slicer that we have used for years. We often get vintage apples half price at the market for baked goods. The flower girl bodice looks so sweet with vintage buttons & gingham checked fabric for the lining.

The blue satin dress is going to be gorgeous! You’ll enjoy the bias maker set. I use mine lots! It’s been years since I’ve made a satin dress and used tulle. I made a dress for my 2 year old (at the time) granddaughter. I did rolled hems on the satin and left the tulle edges raw. I’ve done that with prom dresses, too. You might want to try a rolled hem on a practice piece of tulle to see what results you get. There would be only one line of stitching. 😘 Sew with joy!

Those dresses are so precious. Have you thought about using water soluble thread on the tulle? You could then just spray it with water and that line would go away.

No I didn’t! But if the thread dissolves won’t the seam come apart?

@@TheWanderingSewist you are right. But you if you are going to cut away one of the seamlines. I thought you could use the water soluble for that seam.

Ah! I understand. I just switched to a regular seam instead.
