Mr. Wandering Sewist! 😂😅 I love the Dutchess Baby Blue fabric! The girls are going to look beautiful for the wedding! Your pink 💗 fabric for your dress is beautiful too! The Liberty fabric is beautiful! I think the red fabric would be perfect for trousers! AND the orange fabric is just over the top amazing! I can't wait to see these projects come to fruition! You have great taste in fabric color and patterns! The shops in London may be small, but they look packed with goodies and utilize every inch of space! All that fabric!!!!!! Wow! Welcome home and see you soon!
I'm so happy you are back.....😊, i had a good laugh at the thought of your hubs following you into the fabric stores. There will be other trips 👍🏽. You got some great fabric, and you must have mad skillz to be tapped to make dresses for a wedding. Here's a thought....these are children and the wedding is in September, when will you make the dresses, and how will you account for their growth? You know how children have their growth spurts. I think the batik (sp) would be great for shirts. Btw, love the pink linen for the dress for September wedding. Looking forward to Friday video.
The blue satin and tulle are going to make the most beautiful little dresses! I say go for the red pants! I would probably hold it over my behind or think a lot about the tops I already have to go with it, because I’m always a little wary of stretch pants and panty lines. It sounds like it’s a pretty good weight for bottoms though! What a find with the Liberty fabric! That’s crazy! Thanks for sharing, it seems like an amazing trip (even with all the background sighing 😂)
lol! The background sighing was a little stressful! Most of you all have said to make pants from the red jersey. The pattern I have for jersey pants is not snug around the hips so will, hopefully, be ok.
Love your "Haul"! Great Choices. 🤩 1st. Liberty print.....A shirt with a (stand) collar; long sleeve with a cuff if you can manage that out of your yardage. The last time I purchased a Liberty print shirt was 10 years ago (couldn't resist) a high end store in Montreal cost was $260 ish CD. Normally I make all of my own Liberty shirts so this was a real indulgence. Your print would look wonderful in a smart shirt pattern. 2nd. The batik is a beauty and will go well with your colouring ............and the red (fabric makeup) dictates pants. 3rd. Your little grand girls will be like little pixies in those blue creations. You will have to take photos even if you only show the backs of three girls together in their blue frocks so we get a good look. Happy, happy joyful sewing with fabrics you love. Cheers. Joan
@@TheWanderingSewist Oh yes. Very pricy. Paying for ready to wear, even if it carries the Liberty label, is not something I would allow myself to do frequently. However, I love to wear Liberty shirts from fabric purchased at a fraction of the cost; to me it is a win-win. As you mentioned, the drape and softness of the fabric is exceptional.

I had their mom measure them and then predict how much growth in 5 months. Should be ok since patterns also have wearing ease. I hope!
Beautiful fabric choices
Glad you like them!
Just thinking....a job in a fabric store would be lovely for you 😁
Maybe one day!

I think that shirt is a gray idea, I could make a Birdie Button up from Pattern Scout. I had. I had no idea how much garments made from Liberty cost!

It is! I am so worried about sewing it up. I do not want to ruin it.
I love the Liberty fabric design, I know you don't like short sleeves, so don't know if you can make 2 tops.????? Loved the London footage.
That would be nice but you’re right about the sleeves!
Red cropped pants would be my choice
I think your vote is the most popular choice so far. Who doesn’t love a pair of red trousers?
I think you need to make husband a top ,that may make him feel better lol
I have made him two already! But yes I need to make for hubby and the boys. I tend to be a selfish sewist
I can see you in red cropped pants.
That does sound great!
