- Hello Darlings, Happy New Year!! I'm back with a video I think you have all been patiently waiting to see... our vintage house tour! We are moving out of Gran's Post-War home very shortly, so I thought it was finally due time to film our little home to share with you all!
Thank you so much for watching and I will see you very soon for another video!
Lots of love,

From an old nurse to a new nurse: Expecting to be with people through some of the most traumatic moments in their lives and not being affected by it is like expecting to walk through water and not get wet. Please take care of yourself and don't be afraid to say when you don't understand or when something doesn't seem right to you. Best to you
I am 70 and I can not tell you how much I enjoyed seeing your home. I remember so many things that you have in your home. What a simple and peaceful cozy home.God bless,
Absolutely delightful and I agree it is so timely to see some of these antiques which were part of our daily life.
63 here, and yes…. it was fabulous, and represents such a brilliantly optimistic time in America…..representing the proverbial THOSE WERE THE DAYS MY FRIEND, and sadly, they ended…! These days, there are people that have NOT ONCE held a real, bound book in their hands TO READ FOR PLEASURE!
They’ve never known the joy and excitement of sneaking under the covers with a book, excited to DISOBEY BEDTIME RULES… because I simply couldn’t wait till morning to read my new Nancy Drew book! I also read before school, after school, before bed, in addition to after bedtime lol (🤫)! My weekends often consisted of biking to the local library AT LEAST ONCE!!!!!
Ah yes……indeed those were the days!
In the 1950s we were in the midst of the Cold War with the USSR which could have brought on WWIII. There was just an illusion of " peace" in your tiny little head. 😂 Yes, I was alive then.
@@moxievintage1390Do you know at all that the global geopolitics were pretty dangerous? America was " at war" with the Soviet Union which didn't end until 1991.
What a darling house! I was born in 1955 but have always wished I could have been a stay at home mom in the 50's! I love seeing young people embrace things from the past. You are simply adorable and you guys have done a great job in your reno.
I appreciate the aesthetic -- my grandma's house is from then -- but I would NEVER want to be a woman from a different era.
@@Heyu7her3why? Women got rights in 1920s. Blacks didn’t get them until 1964 and gays didn’t get them until 2015. Women were fine in the 60s
I would have loved to lived in the 1950s. People will complain just to start trouble because they can with social media. Another good thing about the 1950s was no social media! 😅
@@LucasFernandez-fk8se The problem was that after WW2, a lot of those rights were revoked again. Men fought in the war and women did a lot of jobs that man used to have. And they succeded! After war, a lot of men disliked that a woman could do a man's jobs and they got a lot stricter again. There's a lot of intersting studies on that. Sadly, many men came back with PTSD and difficulties in emotions. As a result, it was common to beat your wives and tell them that all women are worth less than men. They needed permission of a male guardian for a lot of things like getting a job or having a savings account. So yeah, women had more rights and better lives than in the 19th century, but it still wasn't as glamorous as some people portray it to be.
@@claudiaschneider3077 You really should educate yourself and not only watch these kinds of fake era videos tho :)
I hate the thought that this beautifully renovated old home will probably be modernised and lose it's grandeur. Good luck with the move and your new journey as a nurse Sage.
same
Same. It’s such a charming house and it’s nice to see houses actually look like lived in homes instead of beige on beige IKEA model rooms.
Your hard work has really paid off as your home is so cosy and inviting. My home here in England has been in our family for 500 years and is filled with furniture, paintings and objects bought by my ancestors, so there's no real opportunity to replace anything as it's all very sentimental. I love it here and appreciate that it's nice to walk in my ancestors footsteps as it were, however I would love to be able to do as you have and put my own stamp on things. I once suggested that we update our dinner service and was met by a chuckle from my Father and a look of horror from my Mother who quickly informed me that the service was 'fairly new' and 'perfectly acceptable' - it's Georgian.
I think we would all die of joy to see any footage of your home if that ever strikes you as fun to do. But in the meantime, we will send happy grins to you and your ancestors and your ancestral home... and Georgian china. lol. 😊
I loved your comment,
I love how the chickens are proud to show you their egg! ❤️
Heheh! 😂
Those chickens were certainly begging for your company ! ❤🧡💛
@@Lake1ism yassss!! That was adorable!!! 🥰🥰
My Dad was born in 1943. He always talked about having a secretary desk just like yours to do his homework. Years ago, someone was throwing their old secretary style desk away & I grabbed it so fast. My Dad said it reminded him of his old desk so I'll cherish it forever.
Still have my mom's secretary, she had bought it used early in her marriage
@@tomwesley7884 they are gorgeous. They don't make them like that anymore. Especially with the details & little hidden nooks in the desk part.
I have one, hers is missing the top piece, is yours?
@@teresayeates3437 the desk I have is intact (top & bottom)
I'm so sad you two are leaving this cozy home! But I am looking forward to seeing your new home and what you do with it ♥Congratulations on finally being a nurse!!!
Gram's little house is so cozy and inviting. Sage, you and James made it into a little jewel box. I know you're both going to miss your 50's cottage, but as you said, the move is bringing you closer to family. All of us here can't wait to see you new (vintage) home. I wish you and James all the best. Blessings.
I’m going to miss your house so much! Will you be able to bring the chickens with you when you move?
She said they were bringing the chickens with them!
Yes! I’m taking our feathery girls with us on the road trip! 🐓💕
Your home is lovely and I know your next home will be even lovelier!!
@@SageLilleyman The luckiest chickens in the world!
@@SageLilleyman I missed that part in the video and had to find out in the comments. I saw how they were happy to see you and wanted your attention.
Such a cute house, that was so obviously loved and taken care of by you! I can't wait to see what you do with your next place!
Your made your grandma's home look beautiful while you lived there Congratulations on your nursing degree.❤
It's like a dream house, so green and warm.... I wish to have a house like this someday ❤️
Cozy! 😍
It's so crazy to say that im going to miss a house that someone else lives, but I will! I just love the house so much. ❤
Sage and James,

Can not wait for vlogs to capturing your new and improved.
Your marriage, new home new job,etc…..

It seems like homes built in the 40s and 50 just have a nice cozy feeling to them
Absolutely!!
even those built in the 60s

It’s beautiful sweet Sage! I can’t wait to see your new home soon. Wishing you a very blessed and wonderful day!♥️
First of all--congratulations on becoming an RN. THAT is a lot of work and dedication and we NEED nurses especially ones like you. Also, I love your home tours because it reminds me of my grandmothers house. Not only is it cute and stylish and timeless--by going to marketplace for many things, you have avoided many items in the landfill. It's good for our environment. Well done, you and I can't want to see what you do with your new home.
Hello Sage, I am new here but I have watched your shows recently and am so inspired by all you have done to bring back the 40's/50's. Having been born in 1955 I can remember the wonderful times, everyone dressing up, beautiful styles...so many fond memories which you bring back into focus...thank you! Will keep watching!
Oh, how I can only imagine how much you are going to miss this home. Thank you for always letting the home be exactly what it’s meant to be, a beautiful expression of the history gone before. You’ve definitely honored James’ grandmother. I can’t wait to see your next home and what you do with it! You’re an inspiration!! ❤
Lovely home, Sage. It's wonderful that you documented all the hard work and love you both put into your home. Best of luck with the move and setting up a new home. I'm looking forward to seeing it. ❤
I hope when you find your new home it’s just as cute as this one and is a vintage home that is need of your magic and loving touch
I'm going to miss your old house. The renovations you and James made were so beautiful ❤️ I hope wherever you are moving to is a 1940s or 50s style and will feel like a home when you get to it. James' grandmother must love what you did in her house. I feel like she'll have a home that she'll adore and bring back beautiful memories for her as well. God bless you and your family ❤
What a beautiful gift to the grandmother! Noone could do better. I am from Russia. We have a steady trend of returning traditional things to our lives. So was nice to watch your channel. I hope in your new house you will be soooo happy too! By the way I've already written that but it's worth repeating - think about becoming a fulltime housewife after marriage. Nothing is more traditional and cementing a family. Lots of women do it after they have 2+ children. But why wait? You've influenced my life. Thank you! 🥰
Well said. The cute clothes and things are all meaningless compared to the children and relationship and the nurturing you can give them.
@@ifyouloveChristyouwillobeyhim So true! One understands it with time.
Thank you Sage. All delightful. Lots of wonderful memories for you both. 🧡 🇳🇿
I dearly love watching your channel! Your enthusiasm at recreating this time period amazes me. You definitely have a special gift ♥️
Your home is very charming! I remember watching all your renovations and your hard work paid off! It looks great! Thank you for sharing it with us!
You are so much fun to follow! Your love for your current home is very apparent. ❤️
I have truly loved watching you pour your heart into this little home! You’ve given me inspiration many times! I’ll miss seeing these lovely spaces, but I have no doubt you will make whatever home you move into next just as lovely💗
I can't even tell you how much I miss your videos!! You're just such a breath of fresh air! I hope things are well, the move, getting settled, work, all things life.
❤❤❤
I check back here every week and sometimes throughout the week to see if there is a new video. I hope there is a new one soon.
I love what you have done with this house and hope who ever lives here after you will appreciate all the hard work you have put into it. Best of luck on your next home.
Awww, I'm sad you are leaving this lovely home. Thank you for sharing all your hard work. God bless you in your new adventures, work, new home and all you do!!
You did such a great job on the house! Brings back vibes from my 50s childhood. It's fun to see some of the same items that I remember from the US back then.
So sweet and cozy , i know you will be leaving behind many memories you made in this house ,but I can't wait to see your new home and share with you in your new life adventures 🎉😊
I love those little blue and white curtains you made in the laundry room😍. Going to miss seeing y’all in this house, but will look forward to watching you make you and James’s next place just as beautiful!
What a nice house! Sad to see you move of of it though.
Also, I would love to see a video showing how nurses got dressed in the 40s or 50s.

Greets from US. Love your videos as always. Can't wait to see what the future has in store for you. Going to miss this cute little house and beautiful backyard.
What an adorable home! I enjoy seeing vintage homes and all the chatacter in them. 😊 Thank you for sucj a wonderful tour! ❤
Thanks so much for the tour of your lovely house. I can remember watching some of those renovations (kitchen and bathroom). I hope you and James will love your new place just as much and I look forward to seeing your renovations there, too. Congrats again on becoming a registered nurse. I’m a retired nurse now but I well remember all the hard work it took to get through nursing school. It’s a huge accomplishment.
How beautiful your house has turned out, you are an artist, how I like that simplicity that characterizes you, that delicate feminine touch, you are a huge inspiration for many women, Sage was already starting to make me impatient and miss you, for too long without uploading a video, but with this video of your house and the beautiful decoration you have done you have surpassed yourself.
I love your home and all that u did with it. I’m going to miss it. But I’m looking forward to your new home. I know you’ll make it adorable.
Thank you for the tour! Hope your move goes smoothly, and you love you new home! 🏡

This video brings up so many memories, as the little ones would say, it hits me in the "feels"
Awwwwww, I'm so sad you guys are leaving that adorable house. You did such a good job though so you'll probably make your new house look even better now having more experience.
What a nice way to pay homage to all the memories made in this house. Looking forward to your new adventures in the new home! 🌸
It's a beautiful home. I can't wait to see your new home. It's always a bit sad when moving to a new chapter in life. Thank you for the new video. Excited for the next one.
thank you so much for sharing, sage! i've loved watching your renovations so it's really fun to see it all together. sending you lots of well wishes for your next place and your move
Congratulations Nurse well done 👏👏👏 i look at your home and it reminds me of the 50s such a beautiful time for me
I love and will miss your little house but I'm very excited for you and James to start a new life in the country!
Thank you for providing your tour. Beyond lovely, the way in which you delighted, gratefully, over your strawberry, moved me.
I felt transcended to that moment.
Yes, the Lord truly blesses us/me, when I thank Him for his bounty.
Blessings to you and yours 🕯 🕊 🙏🏻
I’m going to miss those beautiful home in your vlogs so much. But looking forward to your new adventures!❤
I love how both yourself and James have a nook/study to complete your tasks. Both my grandparents had a work/nook each. I think this is a wonderful idea!😊
I have the same copper jello molds! They were my mother's, and i grew up with them. I was born in '57. Families did not remodel houses often in those days; our house chamged very.little between 1955 and 1975. Seeing your house is like a visit to my childhood home.
I’m going to miss your house. I just love everything you both have done with it. I hope the next owners keep it that way!
First of all, congratulations on becoming an RN! What a wonderful achievement. I hope you and James are enjoying your new home and adding your lovely vintage touches. Looking forward to when you will be able to post new videos as you are missed!
Looks absolutely gorgeous! I absolutely love you, your energy and your videos!!❤❤
Loved your house tour! I've been following you for a while and really enjoyed the kitchen and bathroom remodels so much. You and James put so much hard work into the things you love.💗 Even though I will miss Grandma's house, I'm also looking forward to new adventures in your new home. So happy Mabel and Maude will be going with you.🐔 They love you so much! Chickens are incredibly loyal and loving with their owners who treat them well. I actually grew up in a small 1940's home, but we had a huge yard with gardens everywhere.🌸🌼🌺 Be blessed today, Sage!
Hello Ms Sage, love what you have done to the house. It’s been so entertaining watching the renovation. Can’t wait to see the new house and watch what you will do with it. I love your whole style. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era. I love the ‘40’s decor.
ur video made me smile!!! many of your decorations remind me of the home grew up in 1950's. thank you
So cute!!! Your house is so warm and inviting! Good luck with the move!
Congratulations on becoming a nurse! And what a lovely home you have! How bittersweet to leave it after all the awesome work you both put into it, but to be near family, I can understand! Blessings on your new career and move!
Aw I’m going to miss your house! It is like stepping back in time.
Delightful ! So Happy to see this video.
I love this video! Thanks for sharing. You are SO LOVELY 🪷 Congrats on getting your RN 🎉🎉
Hello Sage. You both did a fantastic job on Grams house and you two will do a fantastic job on your new home.
My family has moved numerous times and each time i didnt think that we could make it our own but each time we succeeded.
This is just another exciting chapter in your lifes journey.
I can't hardly wait to see what you two will do with your new home.
Sending lots of love, hugs and prayers for a smooth transition.🤗🦋❤️🙏
Great tour, and love it😊. Happy for you and James to be able to move 😁🤓. Your new place I'm sure will be amazing too! As you two will make it your own 😃.
This is such a cute little home. I think that would be such a fun vacation home to stay at! Sad to hear you are moving, I wish you all the best in your new home!❤
So adorable! You've done so much work on it and it is so cozy and sweet. At first, I thought it was your new home. I hope you're able to find a place that you can enjoy as much as you've enjoyed this home. 🙂
Your home is always so lovely, Sage! Love from Arkansas ❤
So beautiful Sage ❤ an inspiration for my future home.
Aww, what a lovely tour! Sort of bittersweet since you are leaving soon. But very enjoyable! Congrats again on the 3 yearRN! That is a huge accomplishment!🎉❤🥰🤩
I know how you feel My grandma's home they bought in the 1950s and my aunt still lives there today. I hope you still do videos of your new home too.❤
Beautiful! What an inspiration you are!
Shame to see you moving out of the house, but it's been lovely to see the time and effort put into looking after it. I'm glad you kept the original features and didn't modernise it in any way. It's been lovely to see the care and attention you have put into it. On the up side, I'm looking forward to seeing your new home and how you will decorate it. Congratulations on completing your nursing degree and becoming a registered nurse. 🎉
I'm going to miss your sweet little home, but I'm happy you're moving closer to family. ❤
I'm sure its very bittersweet, leaving your first home that is so charming and lovely, onto a new beginning near family. You'll look back on the tine here with such fondness and love, im sure.
I will miss seeing your videos from this house, but so excited to see what's next!
What an adorable house. I know you will miss it. But what a fun time you and James had putting all the beautiful touches on it for somebody to enjoy.
Sage I just love your home and energy. We lost a few elderly relatives over the past few years. I thought of you when cleaning out the homes. I just knew you would have appreciated the little things I found. ❤
I'm so sorry to hear that Marcia xx
Yes I would have loved looking through their homes ❤️💕
Love your house you did an amazing job on all your projects i thought you all would be staying there permanently with all the money work you put into the home. I enjoyed watching those videos. They are some of my favs. I hope to see more in the future. I hope you can take your chickens with you when you move best wishes to you and James always
Home sweet home, Sage! Please keep the house in the family.
I forwarded your video to my mother in law, She is was born in Tasmania in the 40's but moved to Melbourne to train as a nurse, and she graduated there in the early 60's. So I thought your channel will bring much nostalgia and lovely memories of her younger days.
Always loved yours and James home and to even take it from James grandma. Your home was always so inviting and I really enjoyed the modern home how you guys decorated it. And Maude and Mable always so sweet seeing them too 😊 💜
sad your leaving such a darling home a lot of great memories the chickens always make me smile love your outfit very pretty now your on to a new adventure another great video
Hi Sage😌 I just discovered your channel back before Christmas. I absolutely adore it and I've been catching up on all your previous uploads. I'm very gradually adding my desired vintage items to my wardrobe. I don't know if I'll go full vintage yet... Anyway I really wanted you to know that your videos have been a great comfort to me. My mother-in-law and father both died from lung cancer towards the end of last year. Your videos just felt calming and a welcome distraction during my grief❤
Thank you so much for sharing I can't wait to see your new place.
This home has been truly loved. Granny must have been very happy to see it transformed & move back to a more gentler time. I love the pink & green touches & cant wait to see what you do with your new place.
Maybe a road trip with Maude & Mabel video??
