Paraphrasing a quote that fits Sunny attacking Coleman, "If someone attacks your character before your argument, you were probably right"! That's exactly what Sunny did.
26 years ago I was living in Costa Rica. I used to read articles written by Rigoberto Stewart, a Costa Rican economist. I became a fan and I spoke about him often with my wife. One day, I went to one of his conferences and I got to speak to him. I was thrilled and I came back with the story to my wife. She said she wanted to know what he looked like and I showed her his picture in the newspaper. She said: "He is black. You never mentioned he is black." My answer made her laugh: "He is an economist!" Of course, I noticed he was black, but it was of little importance to me, so I left it out. On the contrary, when he published a book advocating for increased autonomy for Limon, an area of Costa Rica where black costaricans form the majority of the population, I added to my story that he was a Black economist because it was relevant for the story. This is what I understand as color-blind. Of course, I support your solution to end racism, to treat each individual as an individual.
It's because of the general population of American blacks and crime, violence, etc. The general population determines how others view a race. But that doesn't mean all fit the mold, but that is the initial thought for self preservation.

How many mothers didn't? They're literally training your kids to want to kill mine. I'm taking my kids to the mountains to get away from the "melting pot" before they become victims. I'm not counting on "POC" to stand up for me like whites did for them. I appreciate your effort 😔🤘 but it's in the minority. They call us slurs and call for our death publicly all the time with no pushback.
I'm not letting my kids become a statistic because "you can't be racist to white people".
Little kids start bullying other kids based on race early as they see other kids do it or they learned it directly from their parents. So just because she got to live in ignorance doesnt mean other kids had that opportunity. Like major LMAO. Why do you think schools have to discuss it early on in the first place? Also its so weird how you guys get upset over history being taught like as if it’s against “your” team or something. Clearly you identify with those made up labels and you like what you get out of it. Skin color isnt a real identity.
Heavy topics for a 1st grader, for sure, but I hope you don't expect schools to gloss over slavery and segregation when teaching American history.
@@AlexNiedt Im not saying it doesnt have to be taught, but thats ALL they talked about the whole year and still going. Isnt that not brainwashing? Now she calls her friends "my African American friends", "my white friends". Race race and race. Thats all these ppl care about.

"I didn't know who Sonny Hostin was, I actually still really don't know" ..... HA HA HA! That is great and perfectly describes Sonny for about 98% of the world!
He knew. He was just taking a jab.
No one cares who she is...
Sunny is always so gloomy
@@iluvthadrama I doubt he knows about her other than the fact she's a host on The View. I know the same and have seen her before but other than The View I know zero about her. I bet most people are like me and give 2 other facts about her.
Whenever someone says that the correct reply is “sunny is decended from slave owners, her family built their wealth on the backs of enslaved people of colour”
This is why I love the Norm MacDonald appearance on the view so much. The shock they had after trying to blindside him was hilarious 😂
I gotta look this up LOL
Ol' chunk of coal.
Norm tries to apologise for saying something and says something worse
That was easily the best show that ever happened. I miss Norm so much, he would’ve been unbelievable during these times!
Someone post a link
It’s not color… it’s not race… it’s content of character that matters, and in the end, we’re all flawed.
Oooh I gotta watch this whole episode. Great guest.

Didn't he just say he voted for Biden? That's not terribly thoughtful, IMO.
Exactly what I was thinking. Comes off as insightful, but voted for Branden and Kankles. And works for CNN. Needs to turn that insight into more introspection.

"If you want to help the disadvantaged, do it on the basis of class". 💯👌
Love this guy, gotta go back and listen to the whole interview
I first saw Coleman Hughes when he testified in Congress against reparations for African Americans. I was impressed with how calmly and convincingly he presented his arguments.
He shouldn't even have a say. The government did these things to black people and this Puerto Rican guy says we should not be paid back for the money and labor that was stolen for hundreds of years. The government taxed slaves as property . By 1865 black bodies were 80 percent of the gross national product.
I wonder if Coleman knows about the 1898? Wilmington NC torching or successful business people and thriving economy of black people that was torched by invading white people jealous of the locals' success.
What?! I ask myself What kind of person would waste their time doing that.
“Ideologically captured”…. Well put. That explains a lot of people.

Coleman was so knowledgeable, graceful, and respectful on the view. Kudos to you Coleman and I want to buy your book and have my son read it. The people on the view keep the rhetoric going ,divide n conquer, and keep living in the past. The cast is probably paid to push this narrative.
Excellent point of view
He has such a great temperament. God bless this young man.
Coleman is the ONLY adversarial guest I’ve seen on the View who overwhelmingly captured their audience. AND I’ve never seen Whoopi step in to salvage/shut down an interview
So true
The way they attacked Tulsi
The audience went wild!
Whoopi’s done it before, but not to the degree as when Mr. Hughes was there. Just awful the way he was treated by the women on The View.
I'd argue Kurt Russell did the same about guns.
‘Ideologically captured’ is such a great term that I wish that I had come up with it.
I was paid $55 dollars to be a guest on The View, they MAKE you clap when the sign flashes you to. If you dont they STARE at you snd intimidate you to. Truly disgusting.
Coleman Hughes is intellectually refreshing. I look forward to reading his book. Joe Rogan describing Coleman as “objective” I interpreted as a very sincere compliment. The U.S. needs more people like Coleman in leadership positions.
Who watches the View? ONLY episode worth watching is the one where Great Norm roasts the whole crew, makes an R word joke, makes fun of the nose job of the host, says he barely has consensual sex and people applauded 😂
He killed a guy! I thought that was common knowledge! LOL
I will tell you who watches it, 90% of them are old and middle aged women who lean very left and watch things like CNN and take it seriously.
It's the #1 show in the daytime ratings. There are a lot of poisoned minds out there. At least 80 million+!
Norm!!! God I miss him so much but I’m glad he doesn’t have to live in this insanity. That was a great, great episode!!
It's only old and middle aged women who watch it. All of them tune into television for their news like clockwork and they believe all of it.
Been a big admirer of Coleman's work for years now. Glad to see he's getting the attention he so richly deserves. A true gentleman and incisive social critic.
Great conversation. Coleman is one of the most important American voices of our time.
Canceled.
You don't see colour, you are SUCH a good person! Good boy points for you!
@@petera5560
Self preservation should dictate that I am scared to death of disaffected young white men. There are far too many to count, however we do not profile them or demonize them!
What a weird way to tell the world your wife's racist 😂
Bro eye contact skills are admirable 😂
I think that seeing everything for who or what it is means that you're willing to see truths, but that it is your heart that should be colorblind.
"I SAW YOU ON THE VIEW" is never going to end well 😂😂😂
Now I think there's a song in there somewhere! 😂😊
I don't like them changing the swipe commands at the bottom of the screen without giving us the option to revert back. I've been using the same commands for years and don't like the update.

I would argue that JRE is a significantly larger audience. Probably by millions.
Well he actually lets his guests talk so that might be part of it.
Just found out about Coleman Hughes after a clip circulating on the internet of the Shit show called The View he was guest on. He crushed the bullying from the Sunny character! The reason Sunny said she read his book twice is because she never read his book once

She read a Twitter thread, by people she follows and just repeated what those loonys said. While on the toilet, before the show.

Just tried searching for “Coleman Hughes the view” and completed the text with no matching autofill. Interesting 🤔
It’s simple. My dad raised us on this philosophy. ‘Every person deserves respect as a person. Even if their character is lacking, they are still a human being. You may not like them and you may not respect their character, but you better NEVER disrespect them.’
Supposedly The View and Ryan Reynolds are having a fight behind closed doors. They wanted him and Wolverine on to promote their new movie, but also try to tie in talk about DEI and Disney etc. and Reynolds said no. But this is just what i saw on some YT video.
I heard Ryan also ousted some dei chick from the new movie.
