She was too scared to send an email to the police but impulsive enough to make sudden movements just to stop her co-worker from sending the email himself?
Just because she's too cowardly to do what needs to be done doesn't mean she should stop her co-worker from doing it himself by simply quietly pressing the button to send the email.
She risked her life to help the robbers.
He wouldn't have sent it of they threatened his life instead of the other woman's. The character is a coward.
