The lady who sang "wah wah", her name is tuva semmingson, a classically trained singer in her own right, she sings everything from opera to standards to pop. A diva of the 1st class. If you look closely, for this concert she was wearing little six shooter earrings. PERFECT!!!
I watched an interview with the two vocalists.Tuva Semmingsen AKA the Wa Wa Lady, as she has been called by the tube, actually likes being called the Wa Wa Lady. She couldn't believe how this performance took off on the tube. Christine Nonbo Andersen is the solo vocalist in the audience. This was her first performance with the Danish National Orchestra. Both ladies nailed their performances and added a stunning element to this Ennio Morricone masterpiece.
Ennio Morricone was a composer of film soundtracks, where he used instruments and objects that are not normally used in an orchestral ensemble. Electric guitars, basses, ocarinas, bongos ... but also whips, gunshots, gusts of wind. Entering Morricone's work is a complete immersion.
A moving tribute for fidelity down to the smallest details is what the Spaghetti Werstern Orchestra did to him.
The "wawa lady" is a world famous mezzo soprano, Tuva Semmensen. I love her pistol earrings.
Semmingsen, but yes.
@@mulrich She still gets Fanmail from this performance!
She's really cute, too. The earrings are such a fun touch!
This is absolutely amazing. Restores my faith in humans; sometimes we make and share beautiful things; true, quality artistry such as this is an example. Simply beautiful. ❤
Ennio Morricone an Italian composer, orchestrator, conductor, trumpeter, and pianist. He composed this.
The original sounds better.
I mean the cast you mention
@@troyshilanski380 I don't agree with you in that opinion.
@@Shifu56 thats ok. It is good. Just not accurate as i grew up way back and like the original.
@glizta42 - yest, no questions about it. The guy was a genius.
But it would be crazy to think that he was alone in that, as nobody should forget about Edda Dell'Orso at this point.
I wonder how many people know about her at this point?
Great musical call and reaction Shon. Best cover I've ever heard and one last thing...Danish women are knockouts!
Though the one is a Norwegian!
Metallica uses "ecstasy of gold" as their opener. You probably remember from the live in Moscow video of enter sandman
Greatest western movie ever made. Top five movies of all time. Tuco killed it
Agreed100 😂 Greatest western in history 🎉🎉🎉
Combo of Eastwood, Eli Wallach, and Lee van Cleef has never been equaled as a trio in a western. All three completely owned the characters they played.
The Danish National Symphony is great. I grew up watching all the spaghetti westerns with Clint Eastwood. I absolutely love all the theme songs from them. I have the "Hugo Montenegro" version doing all the theme songs (A Fistful Of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More & The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, Hang 'Em High) on record & on cd. It is one of my favorite albums.
Thank you. I don't technically belong to the Danish National Symphony but I am part Danish so I will take credit anyways.
Delightful reaction. Love his sense of wonder!
Ecstasy of gold gives me goosebumps every time. The soprano voice make my skin crawl🥰
The man playng the oboe ( the instrument before the soprano) apparently breathes thru his ears! 😂❤
Sorry but I think it is actually an "English Horn", the larger Brother of an Oboe!
🇨🇦 The DNSO actually consists of over 100 Musicians and over 70 Choir members !
I thought the reaction was Awesome and it's just great to find new ways of making music. Keep on rocking
Same here it’s outstanding 😂🤣
Modelo commercial, among others........ Great reaction as usual.
The music is for the movie "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly son Clint Eastwood actor a western. Someone already advised you about the part you recognized below so nuff said. Glad you enjoyed this one they perform others you may like take a look.
Music by Ennio Morricone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like the audio version best.
It’s just a great thing every time I watch someone new, being taken away by the beauty of this music.
The singing you probably remember from the Enter Sandman vid by Metallica. The one with over a million people, in Moscow. They play it before the band comes out.
This is why all kids should take band in middle school. It takes a few years, but by ninth grade, it is so, so much fun playing in a large group, even if you don't sound so good yet. And crushing your fellow band members to get first chair is fun, too. Ah, that constant struggle for power!
If you've never done it before...If you're lucky enough to live in a city that has its own symphony orchestra, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a concert some night. Get yourself a ticket and get all dressed up and make an occasion of it. Hearing this, and other great music, performed by a full orchestra live in a concert hall is a life-changing experience. You won't regret it.
EXTRA: check out the clip of the same orchestra performing the score from "The Godfather."
This is from a great movie. The movie wouldn't have been near as good without this wonderful and amazing soundtrack. Hats off to the very talented people who provide soundtracks to for great movies.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your reaction🎉🎉🎉
One of my all time favorite movies- The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, Sergio Leone. Very influential director and Clint Eastwood is a legend. And Ennio Morricone is a master composer. The entire soundtrack to GBU plus Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, Once Upon a Time in the West and Leone's Once Upon a Time in America are the best ever. Ecstasy of Gold from GBU is fantastic.
Yes, if you just hear not so great symphony music. it results in many people thinking, big deal. But great symphony music is not only awesome to listen to but watching it can be just as awesome. To see people playing very complicated music. Instruments coming in and out of the music. And not just everyone playing at the same time. But like watching a play, everyone has their part. Well, a piece of music like this is like a play. If someone plays out of turn. You can hear it. In a case like this, the musicians parts are just as complicated as actors doing a play. Watching a symphony do a song this complicated can be just as amazing as the musical composition itself.
The woman singing is the background for Modelo beer commercials.
I pressed Like before starting, since know you are going to enjoy it to the max
Thank you for reacting to this!! It was a great reaction too 😊 This was such a wonderful performance. I remember watching this movie with my dad when we were kids.
This comes from the movie the good the bad And The ugly. Great western movie Add I love it.😊😊😊
The greatest western movie in History imo❤
The song's so good it's worth putting a shirt on for
Cool hair dude. I used to play in band in high school, then in college. Orchestra every day was an absolute joy, and such a welcome distraction from the rest of those boring classes! :)
just found your channel and am a fan! I just believe you more than others i have seen. Thanks
Iconic music from a classic film. Morricone was one of the greatest film composers of all time.
The piece from this film called Ecstasy of Gold, and the way it was used in the cemetery sequence at the end of the film, just filmmaking gold.👍
FYI, in the movie version, the wa-wa-waa is just harmonica.
Thanks for this! It was amazing! A plus reaction!
one of morricone's many masterpieces.unbelievable that at the beginning of his career film music was seen as low quality and frivolous!well he definitely outlived that view and had the last laugh!
As a Classical Composer, he became asked by Sergio Leone to make the music, and never saw the actual films, to my knowledge?
This is from the soundtrack of a Clint Eastwood movie...The Good, Bad and Ugly! Great reaction!
Thanks for this, another great reaction to a great performance.
Ecstasy of Gold is used in Modelo beer commercials
Note that the sound which the singer initially does has - according to Morricone - been composed to mimic howling coyotes.
The Wah Wah lady is Norwegian, Tuva Semmingsen and one of the finest Mezzo-sopranos in the world! Really overuse of a musician!!! And as another Dane I'm very proud of this Performance, seen by more than 3 million people!
Tuva is perfectly used in this performance
Actually many more, the last time counted! I think more than 20 mill. viewers, for a good reason. It is a fantastic performance.
You may hear Tuva in several other Danish Productions, so it is an exception!
Majority of people miss that the percussion reflects the horses hooves…this changes how you perceive the music. It is the movie in instrumental scenes! It is genius
After I saw this the first time, I went and watched the movie which I had not seen in many years.
So glad you reacted to this, and how you always catch the nuances of music!!
Your energy was giving in this one!!!
Metallica opens every concert with the song.starting at 5:50 You should do some Symphony and Metallica. Beautiful Pease out Paul From Utah
Speaking of Metallica.....check out the AUMB salute to Metallica Light Show that they performed a few weeks ago. Each and every band member was wired for light, right down to the flags, majorettes and dancers. It was pretty darn good for what it was and I was suitably impressed. Sometimes, I feel put off by the feeble attempts of marching bands trying to do actual rock and roll, even though I am a band nerd, lol.
You heard this from Metallica in Moscow.
They open every show since 1983 with it
It’s the Modelo especial beer commercials
The Modello beer commercial
they released a video of interview with the singers. very good to watch
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Ennio Morricone) played by Soren Madsen 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
You see, in this world there are two kinds of people my friend: those who watched The Good, the Bad & the Ugly, and those who missed out on the greatest movie ever made.
Yes, from the old Clint Eastwood western of the same name. My dad watched this movie every time it came on tv.
The great ENNIO MORRICONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
from the movie- The Good, the Bad and the Ugly..lol with Clint Eastwood , ;you're too funny!
They are so fun! They have videos for Star Wars and Hobbit movies too!
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
My friend
Really like to see your reaction to
The Moody Blues
Official live video
Of
🎵 Night and white Satin 🎵
You're gonna adore this song too
Ps : The Moody Blues was a
Rock band backup with an full orchestra
Simply a masterpiece 👍🏻
Keep the good work Shon ✌️ 👏 👍🏻
Second part is a beer commercial for excellence
The 2nd part is Ecstasy of Gold from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The beer commercial uses a fraction of the song.
That second part of this song is from the commercial from the Modelo beer commercial
I do think it is the other way round?
The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
This is nuts!!! I seen all the movies but never ever thought this was an orchestral performance omg! I’m having the same reaction you are, goes to show the power of humans versus AI.
YEAH RIGHT THEY ALWAYS SAY AI IS SMARTER THAN HUMANS BUT HOW MANY AI HAVE INVENTED HUMANS? HUMANS HAVE INVENTED AI, SO WHO'S SMARTER 😎
I didn't read through all of the comments to see if someone already answered your question but you probably heard the second song, The Ecstasy of Gold, in a Modelo beer commercial.
If you haven't reacted to it already you would love "A Whiter shade of pale" by Procol Harum live in Denmark with orchestral backing.
Damn, bro! Isn't it starting to get cold in Chicago? I still want to know how much you bench, and I really want you to react to MIDNIGHT OIL, "Beds are burning"😁
Awesome song 🔥
Watch the movie!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!😎🍸
If you´r in to NFL I can tell you (even if i´m from Denmark) they are ofyen using the quiet music piece in the middle of this piece in their documentaries ;)
Professional Musicians and Professional Singers , perhaps #1 in the world, it doesn;t get any better. This is the theme song to the movie of the same name. American Western staring Clint Eastwood. U didnt react to the "Hanging" man. That usually throws most reaction makers. They do a lot of movie themes especially the James Bond movie themes.
Its from Metallica concerts intro - eg. Enter Sandman Moscow 91 live
Everyone was surprised by the Wa Wa's being a Woman's voice.
This is awesome. This performance matches the grandeur of the scenery. (of the SW US & northern Mexico) :)
Though it was actually filmed in a huge Set in European Spain! 😁
Drake is who you're trying to think of.
I was a fan before Metallica jumped all over it. I saw them in Chicago and they started the concert with this song and Clint lighting the dynamite to blow up the bridge. If u haven't see the movie check it out.
The opera singer part you are talking about is in a Jay Z song but I don't remember the title of the song.
It's Jay-Z - Blueprint 2 🙂
czcams.com/video/HclYCATejK8/video.html
The last part has been used in countless of movies, tv shows cartoons. The last part always hits you since it unlocks some pleasant memory from your childhood. I couldn’t put a finger on where exactly I heard it before but either. That’s at least one option imo
If you like Orchestra you should look out for the William Tell Overture conducted by Herbert von Karejan. It’s spectacular and you might recognise bits of it 😊
I went to Copenhagen, Denmark last year to watch this live and you are right, live is better. It still makes me shiver when ever I hear this DSO performance. Great reaction.
for the epic harmonica ya gotta check out The Danish Symphony Orchestras take on " Once Upon a Time in The West" a western film classic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great reaction 😀
Love Lara Fabian ❤
Love from Denmark ❤
That was beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Have you seen the good the bad Niagara mountain? That is something you have to see. And then you will understand spaghetti Western. It's back then. It was all the Duke. He had to go overseas to make the spaghetti westerns and come back
I'm not sure, but I think some of these sounds in the original version weren't voices. It was realyy great, but this is amazing. The 2nd part is used briefly on a Modelo commercial.
Opening of Metalica in Moscow, they used it
LMAO one of my favorite reactors couldn't believe I'm hadn't subscribed to you yet. Well I fixed that 😊
Hey I would love to watch you react to Leo Moracchioli's metal cover of Toto's _Africa_ 😆. Actually that and any other metal cover he does. Trust me my brother you will love it he's a TRIP. He's a multi-instrumentalist who plays every instrument in his covers and he does all the vocals unless he has a guest which is the case with his Africa cover. You won't regret it brother. I'll get the link and edit it into this comment.
Great reaction!
You like the orchestra ? Check out stuff from Metallica's S&M live show (w/ San Francisco symphony orchestra) , Within Tempatation 's Black Symphony show , with Metropole Orchestra [Krakow, Poland] , Epica's Classical Conspiracy show, & Epica's Live Retrospect show (10th anniversary show, that includes songs w/ Floor Jansen )
FSO - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - The Ecstasy Of Gold (Ennio Morricone)
Director: Contantino Martínez-Orts 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
You might have heard it from the Metallica live in Moscow "Enter sandman" clip.... they always use a part of the song as an intro (the esctacy of gold) I'm a little confused... did you see the movie The Good, the Bad and the Ugly? If not, you are missing out on a cinematic masterpiece, my friend
It is a great movie to watch !
This is going to be good. POPCORN!😎
you will love it bro....
You should honestly watch the movie and you will appreciate this even more. Early Clint Eastwood. Warning . It's a 3 hour movie but awesome!!
You said you wanted some suggestions for other movie type songs, if you want to add some amazing movie and Broadway songs, I suggest a few to start with:
Shirley Bassey live at Royal Albert Hall 1977 - "Goldfinger" theme of James Bond movie
Little Shop of Horrors "Skid Row"
Chicago Soundtrack "When You're Good To Mama"
"All That Jazz" also from the movie Chicago
I got educated on this song real fast😅 i believe you did too. Love your reaction❤
You probably heard it from the beginning of a live from Metallica !!
And now he should hear it in its original context with Tuco running through Sad Hill Cemetery looking for Arch Stanton's grave.
I love watching your facial expressions on this gorgeous music😂❤
I THINK METALLICA USED THIS IN AN OPENING TO ONE OF THE CONCERTS
awesome! just awesome!
When I was a young kid in the eighties, the only two things I would watch on TV (well, aside from saturday morning cartoons) was Clint Eastwood's westerns and wildlife shows.
Now it makes sense why that Gorillaz song you reacted to a few months ago was named "Clint Eastwood", yes? If not, go back & re-listen--you'll hear it.
Fantastic 🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏
Ennio is the g.o.a.t!! THE G.O.A.T!!!1
