It includes axe use; cross-cut sawing; portable motor-saw; bullock teams; winding gear; steam rail; wheeled arch - horse team; steam cross-cut; frame-saw; paving blocks. Sound/no narration.

What an amazing piece of footage. It even has sound!!!! So much of what was done, and how, has been lost. But at least this hasn't.

It’s amazing what a cross cut can do! I would’ve liked to be there before wouldn’t you?
The Japanese would have been laughing at us, destroying our old growth forests for export to be turned into paper, It’s sad.
