The Rampardos using Blizzard is one of the las things I would have imagined, the Shiftry absorbing said Blizzard is the cherry on top.

@@bradensmith8682 yeah, and nintendo can balance it by making the Tailwind caused by the ability lasts for only 2-3 turns.
@mainganson4069 there's no way it could be balanced unless there is also a ability that lowered speed by 1 stage like intimidate. It's because the only way to counter would be sticky web, which you could exploit by running defiant or competitive. It'd be too meta defining and would stifle the selection of mons in lower tiers
Literally you could run ogrepon grass, empoleon, kingambit, with trick room creselia, and galarian slowking.

Brambleghast is pretty sick. I run a Trap & Diminish set w Infestation/ Leech Seed/ Strength Sap/ Phantom Force (or Rapid Spin, even Spikes). Trap something that has limited options or one of the moves Wind Rider protects and chew on Leftovers and Leech Seed recovery. You can use Tailwind turns and Phantom Force to evade attacks while dealing damage each turn. I've even used Curse too. It works pretty well as a Stall Pkmn w the right matchups.
Brambleghast? What's that? Never heard of that. Nope! Totally! Wind rider is CLEARLY Shiftry's Signature ability. No wonder Kieran has one!

Pokemon has always been weird to me. They made this Pokemon Slow but yet clearly in the Anime it's depicted as fast, it's one of those "Ninja-esk" pokemon that shouldn't be slow and it takes inspiration from the Tengu. Shiftry is also characterized as a Guardian of the forest, mysterious and strong enough to level houses with the flap of it's fans due to wind pressure. it don't look or sound like it should be slow. Wind Rider makes sense as it's known for powerful gust of winds.
Also look at Vikavolt, dex entry says it is very fast and then you look at the actual speed stat lol
Exactly. Pokémon just needs a big rebalance with stats all together to make most of them viable. I’m tired of comp being the same moms, ruins the game esp when they’re in the 1000s now

I use terra fire myself because a physical fire type attack is so deadly and honestly sucker punch never gets used for me because priority isn’t that important for me when shiftry already outspeeds a lot of pokemon in wind rider.

I really love the texturing on these 3-D models; This is one of few things that they got right in Scarlet/Violet.
Registeel is extra shiny this gen. This team os full of underrated mons I like. Dragalge. Orocorio. They were extra bonus points this vid.
My absolute favourite pokemon of all time! Absolute favourite pokemon here! Chlorophyll shiftry has always been amazing but wind rider is very fun now and I love when people get confused when it doesn’t get hit from heat waves
I have seen that Rampardos set on another channel, assuming the same concept (on said channel it's a life orb) they're running It's ability is sheer force... it's not a special attacker, but with gloking's chilly reception it gets 100% accurate blizzard that hits common "safe switch" gliscor/lando (or a cocky d-nite willing to boost) on the special side with a quad effective sheer force boosted blizzard... Most people wouldn't expect a glass cannon rock type to be running blizzard, or even know it learns blizzard, much less expect it to be 1HKOing a physically defensive monster like gliscor... It's definitely niche, but would feel AMAZING if you got it to work in a game

3:12 - Just wanted to point out since I assume an Oricorio video may be coming in the future, Tera Blast is redundant on an Oricorio, unless you're a mad man and run it next to H-Liligant for a Victory Dance boost, as Revelation Dance is coded to match the First Type of the Pokemon using it (instead of actually being tied the Oricorio Form) meaning it'll have its base Stab Typing of whatever form (or Pokemon using it incase of Hackmons) then also change to match any Tera Type in the event you decide to Tera the Oricorio. On top of that also having 90 Base Power making it 10 points stronger than Tera Blast, Tailwind/Taunt/Defog is a quite good 4th Move as a surprise Tera Dark Oricorio can really screw the momentum of a Prankster user expecting to Taunt a Quiver Dance away.
Imo from my experience for Offensive Oricorio, I run many a Dancer Sweep Teams in Doubles (side note almost nobody is aware that Clangorous Soul counts as a Dance Move 😈), the best Typing is Sensu (Ghost) Form to dissuade Fake Outs then Tera Ground to gain that Ground/Flying benefits (potentially null incoming Electric attacks) as well a 90 BP Stab Ground hit to the opponent's unexpected Ground Weak or assumed Ghost Resisted Pokemon.
16:26 this is so trippy: my own shiftry is actually named Oberon because of Shakespeare’s King of the Fairies character in Midsummer Night’s Dream. It fits shiftry waaay more than iron valiant tbh.

The first opponent has a team that resembles Haydunn's. It is very good seeing someone not using Uber monsters such as Palafin, Mankey evolution, Espathra, etc.
If Haydunn was in the anime, he would be one of the most authentic characters. They builds are so good
I think Mystery is actually a Leafy Sea Dragon, not a seahorse! They are kind of similar though.

Really glad to see good news videos featuring Torterra and Shiftry as they're two of my favorites. Politoad with tera ground, running earth power, weather ball, hyper voice and encore, holdint the throat spray, with max health and defense with a lonely nature is a surprising sweeper. Weatherball doubles to 100 power amd then gains stab on top of that. And earth power for electric types, i think youd like this set, been sweeping my fruend with it
Mix that with wind rider and hurricane can suck it

Oh man! Yes! Nocturne is so awesome! And highly underrated! When he got Wind Rider, I knew that was a game changer! Fun story: back when the Jinns were throwing around the Storm moves, they didnt know about Wind Rider, and you best believe I was running w that! Its just an amazing Ability on an awesome Pokemon! Mine ran F. Sash, of course, w Tailwind, Knock Off, Leaf Storm, and Fake Out, in Doubles w Grassy Terrain support. It was amazing how many times ppl would click Blizzard, Heat Wave, or Hurricane! I like the power on your Leaf Blade! Now I kinda want to run a Singles priority Shiftry w Grassy Glide and Hurricane! Its just such a versatile and highly underrated Pkmn- 0% Usage?! Breaks my heart lol more for us!

That 50% boost from G.Terrain is just enough for Leaf Storm to shred, since most things hit effectively are usually SpDef weak. I could see an A. Ace set making a tear! Good call out! I'll have to try it, ty!

@@dustindean4618 nah I'd have to respectfully disagree! Mainly cause it works w my team comp but also cause I wouldnt say it's pointless. You're always just one burn, type match up, or Intimidate away from losing buffs on it. The Leaf Storm works w G Terrain for my team, so that's rly all it is. I've got other Grass coverage, so I'm not hurting for using Leaf Storm. Its pulled some surprising shenanigans, so I wouldn't knock mixed completely! Its solid use!
