I think the impact will be minimum and probably they are adding this mostly to avoid lootbox scandals in the future. Renting is not gambling.

I like the idea of renting skins, but I think it should be limited to the most recent case at any given time. It will lower the premium that new skins get on the market and might help prices stabilize faster.
I actually agree. Being able to rent EVERY skin forever would just wreck the economy.
Maybe have a monthly skin renting rotation. So each month, you can rent a new case collection. That would be nice and also get people to buy the skins they actually like when theyre no longer being rented

Renting skins is a cool idea, it basically makes a 10 dollars per month subscription for the newest skins.
I think for people who don't really care about keeping them and just want the newest skins, this is a great alternative.
It also lessens the gambling aspect, which is neat.

People would say it doesn't matter but the main menu response is SO SMOOTH, fucking thanks valve! And they changed the overbassed sound when you click on gamemode/ choose map pool etc.
And as a vertigo enjoyer (didn't like it in CSGO, in CS2 however I do) these changes are quite interesting, the A bombsite will be quite an adventure xD

The budget comparsion you did to the camera movement the older one appears to have a smooth option enabled, making it look like less fast while the right one seems to be faster and sharper

I've not played much vertigo but I like the changes, makes it a lot more simple now

I would be interested to see how renting skins would effect older cases that no longer drop in the world pool. I can only imagine it’s going to increase prices more since you’re essentially erasing a case for items that cannot be sold to the market and thus making the supply smaller and rarer. It could play out many ways, we will just have to wait and see.

I think in terms of the vert update I see what they're trying to do (enable more retakes with the addition of the grates and new open wall), but it'll be interesting to see how these changes will actually play out. I also agree that changes like these brings new fresh life into a map but im concerned about the rotates from B and mid. We will see though.
I think the renting feature is a really smart thing and fixes the problem that for so many people, good skins are unreachable because they cant open so many cases to get them
Thats kinda interesting. Looks like mid is a lot more important now and that ct spawn is a decent spot for an awp to post up if they don't know which site is going to be hit
vertigo changes are great imo. you have much better control as CT especially after a retake situation. but on the otherhand you also have more opportunities to enter A site as a T with the new Catwalk to heaven. it will take some time but its a great change and im looking forward to the different A-take approaches online

The blue incendiary is so cool I love it, we were playing when it updated, servers went down for like ten minutes then we got on vertigo wingman and destroyed people they had no idea about the map changes and shit
I killed a dude with an incend I did 84 damage to him they go crazy
They also change gamma dopplers. I have a P2 Glock gamma and it's waaay more blue now.

I called the incendiary being lowered, though I think he nade + molly combo pistol round is a bit strong if it hits right, especially if multiple teammates run it.
I see the kit being lowered to 300, and incendiary being raised back, but I don't know.
For now cant check but some skins have float limits it be interesting if renting would break em

i didn't expect renting skins will be included to the game like any older fps games but luckily is kilowatt only (i think)
they should've just left vertigo as it was. on wingman executing A is difficult since you only have two smokes to throw and way too many positions to clear.
So after those 7 days, you could rent the same case type again of course with a new case and it's key?🤔

Those Vertigo changes are insane. Especially the walkway on the left side of A nerf the sandbox spot immensely in afterplant for Ts.

renting skins isn't any new groundbreaking tactic, soldier front used to do that. i wouldn't be surprised if any other game did it before sfront.

When you're in buy faze and just restart the game and when you join, loading screen music loops till that round ends. At least when I'm using Hades music pack.

I think you forgot all the knives doppler phase 2 they was more mostly pink and now almost not and look like phase 1 and marble fade turned over blacker by 50% more

Renting skins is pretty cool if you have a tournament or something and want some new skins you just rent them for cheap instead of borrowing someone else's skins or buying your own
i actually did notice a difference when moving my mouse, i couldn't tell you what was different, but it just felt different
When I jiggle the mouse ,everything is blurry and i realy realy hate that. They need to fix it fast , cuz its unplayable

if we get another new case --> stop being able to rent Kilowatt skins and only allow the new skins to be rentable
why does CS 2 textures look so flat, can't the engine handle a bit of bump/tessellation?
The renting is very reminiscent of what TF2 has.

Some day in the far future you guys will finally learn that the people working on these things aren't the same people working on VAC and the changes in a release aren't the only unique things the developers have been working on during the last few weeks.
I think renting will kill the skin hype once ppl try outbtheir fav skin either their itch will end .

I think CS2 needs to buff the CT economy rather than nerf the T economy. Also bring back the pistol rework all the way from back when they released the then-new sounds for most guns, and I will love this game again.
So I'm guessing rented skins can't be used in trade-ups? Would be nice for my wallet if they could, well until everyone caught on ofcourse...

Normal people won't care about trading/selling the skins if they can use them regardless, like it is in games like valo
