Squatters can break/enter, take possession of the home, destroy the home...and there don't seem to be any consequences for them.

Lawmakers should be held personally responsible for this. And so should the political party that supports it. You support it. You reimburse the homeowners or owners for the damages that squatters do. Otherwise, outlaw squatting

And I would hav found a MORE EFFECTIVE MOTIVE 2 get him out AND stay away-! I got crazy Relatives who don't mind gettin' a little 'personal' with ppl causing trouble... They couldn't get any Relatives or Friends 2 help??

curious when have contractors / handymen etc. started having sleepovers while on a job. sorry it's all on the stupidity of the homeowner.. probably looking for a good cheap deal.
If it was my mothers house the police would be the least of their issues
