Everyone in Canada knows about this story as it was required to learn her story in school for a moment. The girl, Amanda Todd, was an ordinary teenager who went to CABE Secondary school in Canada. One day, she sent an explicit image to a middle aged man, Aydin Coban. This turned out to be a horrible mistake. (Aydin received these images and antagonized her from home, Netherlands, while Amanda was in Canada.) Aydin sent these explicit images to people that Amanda knew through social media. The effects of the damage Aydin done was unbearable for her. She was constantly harrassed and bullied without rest. Due to this, she was susceptible to blackmail and other negative actions, and did self harm as a result. The footage in this video was a video of help from Amanda Todd. However, the audience that received the video were the people who antagonized her. The reactions were completely negative and pushed her even further. She constantly cut her wrists and other body parts. She couldn't tolerate it anymore. She committed suicide by asphyxiation with a rope on October 10, 2012. Aydin Coban was arrested in 2022 for extortion, harrassment and possesion of Child ____.

Even when she attempted the first time everyone joked around and told her to do it again and that she was doing it for attention. If you read the whole story you would see the extent the bullying went on to the extent where she didn't feel safe leaving her house. What Amanda went through was torture and nothing less.

I'm so happy someone brought this up because I still think back about it in tears. When this happened basically the entire internet made fun of her and called her horrible names. This is where the "drink bleach" memes originate from, everyone ridiculed her. The world has done this poor girl a great diservice and I'm really happy to see support for her in these comments, because when she died I couldn't find a single person who would defend her.

One day a man came to her and said if u don’t do a show for me I will sen a picture of ur boobs to the world. He knew Amanda’s friends, relatives and her. He lied, the boobs were sent to the world. The police questioned Amanda. She moved. In her new school she was involved with drugs and alcohol and had depression and anxiety. The man came back but had a Facebook page and her boobs were his profile pic. She cried and lost all her friends and respect. She started to cute herself. Then she was typing with an online guy and he said come to mine, I really like u and my gf is out of town. Amanda did so before realising how big her mistake was. When she went to his they had sex. Then one day the guy, his gf and her friends all moved to Amanda’s school. The gf said look around, no one likes you and someone shouted just punch her already. And so she did, she threw Amanda to the ground and punched her several times. Amanda wanted to kill herself so when she arrived home, she drank bleach, the ambulance came and saved her. Amanda moved but this time people would tag her saying I wish u died, kill ur self, drink more bleach and Amanda felt like nobody deserves this. So Amanda started cutting herself more and she got scars. She later suicided. Nobody deserves that and some of these people who bullied and told Amanda to kill herself are still alive today. Amanda didn’t deserve this and right know she is looking down crying in disbelief. So shame on some people!!! I hope Amanda is in a better place ❤

This is how we learned in 7th grade to never post or give nudes to anyone. It’s truly a terrifying story and her video is still on CZcams. The fact that people bullied her for her actions makes it even worse becuase it shows how awful and judgmental people can be.

Bro I'm from a small village in the north of Spain and when this happened, they got us all from our classrooms (by small village I mean around 50 kids was the totality of students in the school), put on her video, and gave us a long-ass talk about cyber-bullying, internet safety and suicide. All the people who do the "omg rip" when you learn about a tragedy, i want you to have a think for a second. Have you ever joined in on bandwagon hating? Have you ever made fun of someone for something to feel like part of the crowd? Have you ever gossiped about someone for doing something when youve done something similar, only know one knew? Have you ever HARSHLY judged someone, while knowing deep down you do things equally as bad or wrong? Its hard to be perfectly self aware, but we all need to be better. The issue is being a part of the problem with the above behavior and not recognizing that you are part of the problem. Then, when tragedy strikes, its all well-wishes, happy thoughts, and confusion as to how it could all happen in the first place. This is a common narrative, but we know *exactly* how this happens. Problem is, we're generally far enough removed from it for it to strike a chord. We all need to be more mindful of our behavior.

I remember when I was little my freaking school had an assembly and show this video to hundreds of kids, including myself and told us the bad parts of Bullying! This video freaking traumatized me when I was little and my mom and other parents had a field day talking with the office because the kids we too young to understand and it gave them nightmares. Again I was 7 and everything in the age of 5 to 10 was their in that Assembly and we watched the whole vid with some guy in a suit Looking like they're from the FBI telling us the bad stuff of bullying. It really pains me to know how cruel and careless people can be. This also wasn’t the first time something like this has happened. A couple years ago a girl was bullied so much she ended her life by jumping of a water tower. This needs to be resolved more than just going to see a therapist. Punishment is what should happen before things get even worse! The fact schools turn a blind eye on these issues is not funny. It can cause what happened here. If you EVER see anyone bulling someone stop them because you never know what could happen next.

But why Aydin wasn’t answering Amanda, Aydin was busy sending Amandas n00ds to social media and his friends so that they could make fun of her, make her cry, and beat her up. Thats why in the video she said “i want those photos back.” They beat her up until her death. Therefore, they were in jail.

As a girl in Canada, this story is all around. It’s horrible. I have to hear about it constantly, and with my last name being “Todd” as well, people constantly ask me if we were related. We’re not. But it’s heartbreaking to hear what happened to this girl.

People take blackmailing so lightly. This was blackmailing between teenagers I’m guessing but this is bigger than anyone thinks. There are HUGE organisations led by men in each country that makes money off of extorting explicit content from women, even girls as young as 12. The girl, Amanda Todd, was an ordinary teenager who went to CABE Secondary school in Canada. One day, she sent an explicit image to a middle aged man, Aydin Coban. This turned out to be a horrible mistake. (Aydin received these images and antagonized her from home, Netherlands, while Amanda was in Canada.) Aydin sent these explicit images to people that Amanda knew through social media. The effects of the damage Aydin done was unbearable for her. She was constantly harrassed and bullied without rest. Due to this, she was susceptible to blackmail and other negative actions, and did self harm as a result. The footage in this video was a video of help from Amanda Todd. However, the audience that received the video were the people who antagonized her. The reactions were completely negative and pushed her even further. She constantly cut her wrists and other body parts. She couldn't tolerate it anymore. She committed suicide by asphyxiation with a rope on October 10, 2012. Aydin Coban was arrested in 2022 for extortion, harrassment and possesion of Child ____.

Even when she attempted the first time everyone joked around and told her to do it again and that she was doing it for attention. If you read the whole story you would see the extent the bullying went on to the extent where she didn't feel safe leaving her house. What Amanda went through was torture and nothing less.

If u want more info there here it is: there was a normal girl called Amanda Todd and she would play with her friends in seventh grade. One day a man came to her and said if u don’t do a show for me I will sen a picture of ur boobs to the world. He knew Amanda’s friends, relatives and her. He lied, the boobs were sent to the world. The police questioned Amanda. She moved. In her new school she was involved with drugs and alcohol and had depression and anxiety. The man came back but had a Facebook page and her boobs were his profile pic. She cried and lost all her friends and respect. She started to cute herself. Then she was typing with an online guy and he said come to mine, I really like u and my gf is out of town. Amanda did so before realising how big her mistake was. When she went to his they had sex. Then one day the guy, his gf and her friends all moved to Amanda’s school. The gf said look around, no one likes you and someone shouted just punch her already. And so she did, she threw Amanda to the ground and punched her several times. Amanda wanted to kill herself so when she arrived home, she drank bleach, the ambulance came and saved her. Amanda moved but this time people would tag her saying I wish u died, kill ur self, drink more bleach and Amanda felt like nobody deserves this. So Amanda started cutting herself more and she got scars. She later suicided.
Nobody deserves that and some of these people who bullied and told Amanda to kill herself are still alive today. Amanda didn’t deserve this and right know she is looking down crying in disbelief. So shame on some people!!!

All the people who do the "omg rip" when you learn about a tragedy, i want you to have a think for a second. Have you ever joined in on bandwagon hating? Have you ever made fun of someone for something to feel like part of the crowd? Have you ever gossiped about someone for doing something when youve done something similar, only know one knew? Have you ever HARSHLY judged someone, while knowing deep down you do things equally as bad or wrong? Its hard to be perfectly self aware, but we all need to be better.

The issue is being a part of the problem with the above behavior and not recognizing that you are part of the problem. Then, when tragedy strikes, its all well-wishes, happy thoughts, and confusion as to how it could all happen in the first place. This is a common narrative, but we know *exactly* how this happens. Problem is, we're generally far enough removed from it for it to strike a chord. We all need to be more mindful of our behavior.

78 Now, concerning death, the teaching is: When the decisive decree has gone forth from the Most High that a man shall die, as the spirit leaves the body to return again to him who gave it, first of all it adores the glory of the Most High. 79 And if it is one of those who have shown scorn and have not kept the way of the Most High, and who have despised his law, and who have hated those who fear the Most High -- 80 such spirits shall not enter into habitations, but shall immediately wander about in torments, ever grieving and sad, in seven ways.

I remember when I was little my freaking school had an assembly and show this video to hundreds of kids, including myself and told us the bad parts of Bullying! This video freaking traumatized me when I was little and my mom and other parents had a field day talking with the office because the kids we too young to understand and it gave them nightmares.
Again I was 7 and everything in the age of 5 to 10 was their in that Assembly and we watched the whole vid with some guy in a suit Looking like they're from the FBI telling us the bad stuff of bullying. Of course, we were scared out of our minds. Still rip and yes this video caused a lot of scared but I needed it to show me the real world.

I remember watching the fbe vid on it when it came out. It scared me a lot and I think it helped me realize the internet is a very ruthless place.
It really pains me to know how cruel and careless people can be. This also wasn’t the first time something like this has happened. A couple years ago a girl was bullied so much she ended her life by jumping of a water tower. This needs to be resolved more than just going to see a therapist. Punishment is what should happen before things get even worse! The fact schools turn a blind eye on these issues is not funny. It can cause what happened here. If you EVER see anyone bulling someone stop them because you never know what could happen next.

Amanda Todd went was an ordinary teenager who had a boyfriend, Aydin Coban. She sent and took n00d pics to send to aydin. She trusted him. Aydin went to the Netherlands which is his from. Amanda was staying in Canada. They were on a facetime call and Aydin was being way to long on his phone. While amanda was saying “Babe, your on your phone to much now, i wanna talk to you”. But why Aydin wasn’t answering Amanda, Aydin was busy sending Amandas n00ds to social media and his friends so that they could make fun of her, make her cry, and beat her up. Thats why in the video she said “i want those photos back.”
They beat her up until her death. Therefore, they were in jail.
I didn’t think I would remember this case, even being in America it shocked those who were on the internet or kept up with news. This actually gave me trauma being a smaller kid and I completely forgot all about it, till now.
The only reason I knew this because REACT channel made content out of it, and I was oblivious to it…

There are HUGE organisations led by men in each country that makes money off of extorting explicit content from women, even girls as young as 12.
