"Good News From The Next World" is such a masterpiece.
Words can not describe what I feel for this song.
I knew this song since I was 3 or 4 years old and the intro sound still makes me shiver 20 years later as it did then. The vocals are total on spot. For example, in the breathing out at the "the way that you pulled me inside" at 3:25, you can hear all the passion and emotions that are delivered by this song. The drum fill at 4:15 is the best drum fill of all times for me (I'm q drummer myself). And don't get me started on the guitar thenes they used at this song. I don't know how they can put so many different and great different guitar sounds in one song and make them still sound like it all fits so well. For example this catchy solo at 2:46 or the heavy guitar sound at 3:04. I could go on and on and on, but as I said: Words can not describe my emotions I have for this song.
But what I can say is, that after 25 years of listening to music from all genres, from the 1950s until today, I can say that - to me - this is the greatest song of all times. Nothing comes close to this incredible masterpiece. Thank you, Simple Minds and sorry for my bad english.

When this song was released, CZcams did not exist, but it was a very good song and was heard on all music radio and TV channels. Now we are lucky that CZcams exists and we can listen to it whatever we want. Very good song. Memories of those times are a real relief for the times we live in today.

This brilliantly seductive song has been with me since the early 90s. It's about that deep desired, out of reach, forbidden love, so wrong that there's no excuse for it. In my mind, I have it together with Duran Duran's Come Undone💘, both give me shivers.

I remember shivers as a kid hearing it on the radio.
There are some songs that have this incredible flow, that makes you feel like flying, and this is one of those songs.
Brilliant song, I remember when it was released back in 95 and it sounds just as good today. The album Good News From The Next World is really underrated. This is a timeless classic, great lyrics and guitars. Jim Kerr's voice is brilliant on this track

You are right, I was hypnotised by u2, but Simple Minds came to Belgrade and sang. What a paradox, but nice one. Since then I love Simple Minds the same as U2.

Supongo que la música "moderna" de ahora que a mí gusto ya tendría que estar de salida, pues tienen casi veinte años con esos ritmos y está maravillosa música solo tuvo su década, lo bueno dura poco.

Crazy I remember listening to this song on virgin radio about 2002. I'd thought it was U2 but couldn't find it.But remembered some of the lyrics.Thank you top of the pops BBC 4. Played it today and recognised it immediately.

I love this video. It is such a beautiful work of art. It is the magic that happens when the right team of highly skilled professionals work together and all the pieces fit perfectly. The writing, costumes, makeup, sets, lighting, direction, production, everything is just totally on point. It feels to me like everyone who worked on it understood the music and were working from the same page. Something which I feel early Simple Minds videos miss.

Amo esta musica pues me trae recuerdos de mi juventud y compararlos a lo q se ezcucha hoy en dia q va. I remember the first time I've heard this song from Simple Minds.. thinking to myself '' mmh probably an interesting song from SM for the 90's '' but suddenly I was staggered by the whole emotion, the arrangement, the lyrics of the song and it has become one my favourite though such a rich and brillant discography from the 70's end to our days here in 2020. An incredible band very significant of an era that somehow cannot really die. They were legendary and they're still.

I heard this song first time at the backseat of my father's car. I was six years old at the time. I still have that same c-cassette where this song is and always when i see a car that is same that my father used to have, i remember this song instantly.
