    And yes, I know this isn't my highest-quality video. I'll put something more "professional" together when I've made more progress on the system. This is just intended to be a quick update that I didn't have to do much editing on.
    Also, I had to boost the volume in a few places so you could hear it better. It's much easier to hear the system sounds and music in person; you'll just have to trust me on that one ;)

      Today with home automation you dont need too much skill, but yes you will need at least a MEDIUM understanding of programming, and a basic - medium understanding of electronics.

      or in other words, scientists, mathematicians, engineers are the gods of modern world, and the spirit of finding about nature, inventing creative solutions and stuff is like an alternative to praying from religious people's perspective

    Not sure if it would be something you would want, but there is a ham clock used to see what part of the world has sunlight. It is a map of the world with the part of the world getting sunlight bright than than the past where it is dark. Software is made for Raspberry Pi. It gets it's time and location from GPS but be just set with a small program change. But the time and location from GPS is much better and only needs a low price USB GPS device that can be located anywhere it gets good signal, depending on the building.

    not sure if your looking to do another tutorial series but i basically started learning electronics from your arduino series and love the way you present material. It seems like you have done quite a lot with this voice processing functionality and that is something ive wanted to get into but haven't really seen that many great learning materials. so my vote for your next series is working with voice processing. Or if you havent got the time, any suggestion on some good starter materials for working with that sort of technology?

    I do like what you have done, just its not the way if you want a happy wife/girlfriend lol.
    Have you looked into zone and action recognition? (Simply works out if your in the front room sitting down, you dont need the cooker on/heating in the bathroom on etc.) It changes things simply following you around and learning, you approach a light it will go on, no need to get near it, and no need to find and charge a phone :D to pair a device simply tap it.
    For blinds, look on amazon, you can find a powerful 2cmx3cm servo to do the same thing which fits almost invisible into the blind rail etc.
    Of course thats just my opinion, you have made your own semi automated home.

  • @fair2guy
    @fair2guy Před 8 lety

    YES
    I have had this dream of building a complete home system that is capable of learning new commands and learn to understand my intent- its purpose would be everything from basic secretarial tasks to controlling modules in various rooms for specialized functions- such as a standardized meal prep module, control of solar/steam power system, atmospheric and sanitary regulation, and even teaching me information tailored to a current activity.
    For example, should I be working in the shop with a hazardous chemical, I could ask how to neutralize a byproduct. Jarvis would take into account immediate information such as ambient temperature, pressure, air content, and all sorts of other data- then ask me for information it could not obtain such as weight of the sample, concentration, volume etc to calculate things like rate of reaction and optimum response. Equations for any sort of data could simply be mined from wikipedia :)
