Magical sax-solo by Joan, and a very impressive performance, dearAndrea, singing such a difficult melody in an impeccable way! Bravo! 👍
a true jazz singer like all the greats.. anita o'day, sarah vaughn, etc. beautiful performance andrea!!
mr chamorro is a genius and as for andrea just amazing may you long continue to delight us
Fabulous Andrea...how i do admire your artistery, your talent and your close contact with your inner self
Wonderful venue, great selection, perfect range. This has to be one of your top 5 greatest performances. We are so lucky to have you post your videos. Andrea, you and this wonderful band of talented musicians make my heart sing again and again, Thank you
Tudo perfeito!!! Maravilha!
Beautiful opening tenor.
Most sophisticated. A beautiful voice. I have heard her only sing once like that in Moody’s Mood For Love.
She learned to play the trumpet since age 7. You'll have to ask her parents who her teacher was.
Both songs are transcriptions of famous saxophone solos (both with Eddie Jefferson's lyrics), so they are melodically more challenging for the singer than most songs.
I recommend listening also to the original instrumental versions "I'm in the mood for love" by James Moody (1949) and "These Foolish Things" by Lester Young (the 1945 recording).
Joan Chamorro is her teacher)
Terrific tenor work.
Bravisimo Joan Cchamorro toca sax y tambien bravisima Andrea Motis canta melodica
Not easy fare. So all the better. Good job. Please do not
take too long a baby break. ;-)
I was easily swooned.😙I wanna go live..
What will she be like at 35? It is unimaginable!!
Unreal! What a complex vocal line... I have to buy her recent recording
Por Dios!!! vos que me enamora.
Andréa tu amo
Superb!
🐅✊🏾✊
superbra 💓💓💓
I wonder who is her teacher, she plays trumpet and sax without any pressure and having a good round sound like chet baker, most of the wind instrument player their faces change when they blow the instrument but not her, impressive!!!!!
The man playing the bass and the baritone sax, Joan Chomorro, the director of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band school in Barcelona. If you look under his name or hers on Spotify, you will see a large number of CDs in which she is on the majority of the cuts.
Very very good..why don't we hear more about her??
Come to Indonesia pleasee!!
