Oncore !. Keep playing it, the whole song !. I practice this one all the time, I finally got the beat down, this one is a hard one but it will make you better. It's s a lot different than Rock, for me. This song is all about dancing and I'm sure you know how, you are a girl. I have huge feet and I am bad at dancing, but I do have rhythm I can move my head no problem, most people cannot do this. 99/100 times if your bass player can't dance, nobody else is dancing at all. Funky or groovy mostly R&B is really about dancing, remember that and you're going to be just fine. Look at Nik West she is great for explaining to people, she is awesome. Ida Neilson is awesome too she does her own thing, it's very Funky. If you're going to keep this up, you're going to learn all of the genres pretty soon, what the differences are.
You just played some beautiful fretless music I heard you can do traditional music, that's amazing to be this versatile already !. That is beast mode, good job Ellen. I sounded horrible on a fretless, last time I tried to play that at the store for three seconds only. I have a Jazz bass and acoustic short scale, Fender from 1990's. You guys are loaded with bass, I am jealous. Your dad is a very special man, he clearly loves you. My dad bought me 0 basses, means your dad is slightly cooler than mine. Now you must become the Princess of Funk, to make dad proud. You must go viral, unleash the fury Ellen !.
I'm making this comment on ALL of my favourite CZcamsrs videos recommending them to make a statement at the beginning of their next few videos asking their viewers to actually spend a minute or so to WATCH THE ADS AT THE START AND END of their video because THIS is what actually makes the money that most of these content providers genuinely need to keep going and producing more CZcams videos for us to watch and enjoy!
Like many others, I never actually realised that THIS is the specific mechanism that generates an income stream from the advertising! We need to know this if we are not to routinely skip through all the ads just to get to the interesting content that we clicked on the video for to start with!
Watch the ads, people!! At least for the folks you want to save!

Very nice! Good feel and tone! This basslline might seem simple but it's the timing, feel, and technique that make all the difference and you got it down! Clearly, you're no "beginner" but it definitely helps to develop all of the three, aforementioned things, early. You will be a phenomenal bass player, some day...soon ☺
