She strikes me as someone who would 100% NOT shave her head. Some people are precious about their hair. Likely real hair.
@@phaethonprime6427 I thought it was a wig too… I’ve heard that wigs with bangs are the easiest to use because you don’t have to blend the hairline. I’m assuming maybe she’s hiding her hair for a role or didn’t have enough time for the hair stylist to style her real hair? The hair and dress are beautiful on her regardless, of course - she’s absolutely gorgeous.

@@k1medward Wrong. Her accent is mostly well spoken (posh) Scottish, and some very very occasional American twang. See 2:05 how she says the word “hand” for some American twang.

@@k1medward she was born in the United States. Her accent is a mixture of the English her father (British) spoke and that of the place she was born. She also speaks Spanish, since her mother is Argentinian and she herself lived in Argentina when she was a child, so there might be some influence of it in her accent as well.

@@k1medward This thing can happen. Remember Madonna? Born and raised in the USA, always spoke clear American English, then switched gently to a British accent (not completely, but had some elements of it) in the late 2000s due to being married with Guy Ritchie, a Scottish filmmaker, and moving to London. I don't follow Anya regularly, but it's possible she herself moved to England nowadays, or has been spending more time with her family due to the pandemic and developed a stronger accent, influenced by them.
@@vicentereacts1304 any British actors you can think of that has done the same? Nope. Madonna did a brief stint of that yes. And was called out for it. It’s pretentious. Brits don’t do that. Emily Blunt is an example. Actress, married to an American, two passports. It takes YEARS and YeARS to switch over and assimilate. Her inconsistent accent where she makes mistakes is very clear to any Brit. Anya grew up in New York for goodness sake.

People in the comments going off about how she cant decide on an accent, American, British, Scottish. Seriously, you must all be people that have lived their whole lives in one place alone and have never left other than for occasional trips.
Anya's accent is true to a person that was raised in a lot of places, with different languages, cultures and accents. The way she sounds backs that up. I was raised in three countries, with three different languages, and three different access, I don't sound from anywhere specifically and trying to pin point my accent is an impossible task. Anya does not have to "decide" on one, she will speak like this forever. Funny enough she has a fixed Argentinian accent in Spanish, so just say she is Argentinian, if you feel the need to call her "something" for your peace of mind. She'll be ok with that.
Yes, I have the same predicament. My accent apparently bounces between NYC & the south with a hint of Midwestern. Ppl from NY can tell I'm from there, ppl from the South, hear their accent, and ppl from the midwest have mistaken my accent for theirs lol. I almost caught a hint of an Mid-Atlantic accent, but it never quite stuck 😆
Very well said! It annoys me how they could get annoyed of her accent when they can just appreciate it or just get lost. To me it's beautiful. Don't really care about the different accents. Heck she could talk forever and i will listen.
