  • How to adjust Corvette C3 pop-up headlights.
Corvette headlamps stop working or work poorly due to several reasons, and one of those is dirty, neglected, and improperly maintained headlamp mechanisms.
Restoring all associated components is not expensive and-if you need to drive your Corvette at night-imperative.
In this video, I show you how I lube and reinstall several components, including:
    1. The liners or bushings
    2. The actuator pin
    3. And two of the actuator springs (there are 4 per headlamp)
I also explain how I adjust the actuator rod clevis to fine-tune the headlamp door alignment.
Back in 2018, I published a blog article about restoring and rebuilding the actuators, so you may also want to read it as it provides important tips and information. bit.ly/36KRCgT

Was wondering if you had a video that shows how to adjust up the rear of the housing to bring it up flush. Mines down like 3/16 inch

Hi Ray. Unfortunately I do not. Hope it’s something that can be adjusted and not a detached crossover support bar. Those can be bonded again though, if that’s the case.

There is a set of three bolts on each side of the upper mounts. You can try loosening them and see if that allows you to move the upper/rear housing.
