    I used to record to a Tascam 424 mk ii and then take the track outs into my DAW for the final mix/master.

    leave the cymbal and tom on the same output,
    record it, copy the file in the daw,
    high pass on for the cymbal,
    low pass the other.

      Yeah that’s my current work around- not ideal but it’s the best option!

    Great video. Would you mind going over the workaround you mentioned again? You went over that kind of fast in the video.

      What is it that you're not understanding? I would suggest just rewatching a few times until you have a fuller understanding!

      @@LiamKillen hey thanks for the reply. Im talking about your workaround you mention at the 5 minute mark. You say something about transferring over to the hi hat.

    Er wait, your saying in order to compensate for the tape fluctuation (motor), you have to chop the transients in the DAW and then quantize (snap to grid) the individual beats?

    • @LiamKillen
      @LiamKillen  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah that’s what i did with my latest sample pack. Takes more time but i think it’s worth it for that lofi cassette quality. Low end sounds amazing

    Love the idea for lo-fi posting to put off pirates, you can also encode images into the spectrum readout, LOL put your face in a song

    hello, I connected a stereo cable mix output to dual RCA and for some reason the sound is coming out from 1 speaker only, do you have the same issue?

    • @LiamKillen
      @LiamKillen  Před rokem

      I do not have this issue- there could be so many potential issues though i'm not sure where to start.

    • @ramifakhr
      @ramifakhr Před rokem

      @@LiamKillen i fixed it, connected a mono TRS to dual RCA since the mix output of arturia is monophonic

    I'm checking out one of these used today. Does this take batteries? I want to op-check it in the field and batteries would make it happen. Do tell. The Arturia site is worthless for specs.

    Is that kick problem ever fixed in a update? Hear none of you ‘influencers’ talk about it while i can clearly hear it in all the reviews and make think you dont mention it because a free model or money from arturia
