    I live pretty close to there and remember this storm. 3 feet of snow at my house and no school for over a week. Absolutely historic

    A HUGE thank you to all the hard working crews who had to be out in that and cleared the roads.

    Just remembering that nice snow outside. I just came home from the hospital after being shot at work. After all those years being out plowing these storms, just to watch what else was happening in the other areas that I wasn't plowing. I miss all the FUN LOL😎😎😎😎👍👍👍

    Then there are 4 wheel drive vehicles with summer or all season tires on that are poor in the snow. In the winter I use either BFG All Terrain T/As or a Blizzak type tire. My 2wd Ranger with good winter tires and weight in the back gets around quite well in the winter.

    I was plowing in a parking lot in Frederick during this storm. Their was no way to keep up with that storm. Only way to get around during that storm was with a plow truck or a tractor.

  • @icouldntthinkofaname.1188

    I remember that! I was stuck in the snow for an hour until someone got me out

      Yeah, with over a foot of snow on extended sections of road and drifts that exceeded 3 feet it all comes down to who has chains.

      Need some weight!! I'm a sub for MDSHA and they don't give everyone a load of salt for weight, just a scoop of RC2 which wasn't shit. Plus alot of them guys go too slow. You need some momentum to push that much snow. I was working on PA ave/RT 4 at dc line to calvert county line and I was the only sub to not break down, get stuck, or go off the road, my 06 Pete 379 exthd didn't let me down!! 54 hours on that storm alone, was a hell of a payday!!!

      I live around the area and there was nothing you could do to help. The only people on the roads that weekend were plows.

      825Daryl if u do not plow the roads like some of us don't say anything negative that you know nothing about

    • @825Daryl
      @825Daryl Před 7 lety

      jjr897 yea ok that why i got 5 plow trucks

    • @mattmoschkau2831
      @mattmoschkau2831 Před 6 lety +2

      Half the time the plow trucks get stuck in traffic like everyone else. It’s not like plows are equipped with magic wands that keep them out of traffic jams or keep the road clear until they make another pass.
      And in extreme storms states have no choice but to call the plows back. It makes no sense to strand workers knowing they can no longer safely keep up with a storm.
      Money won’t buy perfect roads and in your case it won’t buy common sense.
