I think the $300 travel credit was slept upon a bit. This travel credit is VERY FLEXIBLE BTW. Tolls, express lanes, parking, taxis, busses, subway, etc., all work for Chase. Chase is very generous on the Travel criteria. I used it to pay for the Express Lane during rush hour commute. $300 can all be paid for the Express Lanes and then afterwards, earned 3x back.
Is the 300 credit worth 550 tho? Amex green doesn’t have a travel credit but you get 3x on transit for only $150
@@finbarrsheehan8304 Yeah that's the thing though, is it worth paying a $250 effective annual fee for a very flexible travel credit? You'd have to spend quite a lot to make up for that
I have the sapphire preferred and I am traveling to S. Korea thanks to my rewards 🤓 super excited!!!
It’s worth noting that another qualification you need for CSR is to be able to at least have a 10k credit limit on the card whether that’s through a high enough income or moving some credit limit over from other chase cards. 10k is the minimum requirement for any Visa infinite card.
Would definitely like to see an update at the 8-12 month mark. “Best decision I ever made” or “Not everything I was hoping for” or something in between
TOP MARKS BRIAN. YOU REALLY HELPED ME DECIDE AS TO WHETHER OR NOT TO APPLY FOR THIS CARD. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I used your link today to get this card, thank you for your videos!
You should make a video comparing all the lounges in the pros and cons of them.
Hey love your content but I was wondering if you can make a in depth review on the venture x and the reserve ??
Since you have both CSR and Platinum, it would be very helpful to make a video of when you use each. I have my own methods but would like to compare to what you are doing.
Nooo. RIP Brian's Green Card. 😥😥
This card is gonna get added to my wallet in the future for sure. I have the CSP right now and can get the bonus on the CSR in January of 2026, but I could see myself product changing to this card before then depending on what bookings I have coming up. Nice breakdown Brian!!
Does Chase count when you opened the card or when you received the sign up bonus in order to receive another SUB?
@@DrummyCovers15it’s from when the SUB takes effect
@@finbarrsheehan8304 thank you!
One of my favorite cards. I fly between BOS and NYC fairly frequently. The Sapphire Lounge in Logan Airport is a great option.
I currently have CSP and was thinking of upgrading it so CSR since I will be doing a lot more traveling next year and the perks are something I want under my belt ASAP but if I were to downgrade and wait to reapply for CSR what will happen to my points and what I will be missing out on?
Hey Brian great video I should have applied for CSR card instead of the CSP card. Can I product change to the CSR? Thanks for breaking the fee down and sharing the information keep it coming.
You can product change after 1 year of having ur card. Which card you should’ve got depends on how you travel. If you literally only use Uber, and take advantage of the luxury hotels, or chase dining, and want to travel A LOT and want to use that 3x on all travel, upgrade to CSR, if you just need transfer partners( and a $50 hotel credit) stick with the CSP
As a New Yorker, my just 2yrs old CSR is definitely worth it for me who conveniently uses mass transit get around the city to work, school, etc. The trains and buses equipped with contactless omny system that let passengers pay with their smartphones via Apple Pay/google pay, and bank cards. I also use Lyft often around the city especially to airports LGA/JFK. I’ve been taking advantage with 10x per Lyft ride. It has become essential everyday travel card that easily complimentary to my Chase trifecta setup CFF & CFU. Monthly I’ve accumulating massive UR points as a result. It’s definitely worth it if you travel a lot and have a Chase trifecta setup especially if you live a big city like NYC.
Do you feel like you actually travel enough to justify $550? Amex green gives the same 3x on travel including transit, a few similar transfer partners, plus full clear 180 clear credit(which the CSR lacks). You think you it would be worth it to downgrade to the CSP and get the Amex green? Or even stick with 2x travel on CSP? Just wondering.
There’s a restaurant at the airport in Osaka Japan that takes PP. I used this card with 5 people at $35 each. Kinda nuts.
In my opinion chase does it best plan to get this card soon banger value of a card
I have the CSR, two other Chase cards and the venture x. I purchased two appliances recently and used the CSR card for the least amount of points of all four cards. Why? Because of the one-year extension on the warranty.
One of my favorite cards. Not perfect but the one you need.
I gotta wait 4 years to get this card. Counting on the CSR when the time comes. In the meantime, may pick up the Venture X for my next travels this year and next
I have to wait 2 more years until I downgrade my preferred and wait a month to sign up for the reserve to earn the welcome offer. While I wait, I’m going to apply for the Hilton cards from Amex to stack up points for my next trip to bora bora
@@runforrestrun2428 Why down grade it? after 1yr having it you can upgrade it to the reserve!
I think for me (for now), the perks of being able to transfer points from my CFF and CFU to my CSP alone is a STUPID good perk. Working on opening a business and, you guessed it, will definitely get at least one Ink card to start. The CSR doesn't make sense for me just yet, but it may in time and when it does, I'll likely upgrade. Until then, gonna keep this in mind
I’d rather have the venture x and/or platinum with a CSP
Chase Sapphire Reserve has the best travel insurance. This is a point none of you guys cover. Why?
Its hard to say this card is better than Cap One X. I think once Cap one partners with more lounges it will be way better and the Hertz Presidential status is so worth. Got a Jeep for 551 for a week in Hawaii while if I didnt have it I would be paying 1108. Just because you get more points doesnt make it worth it you still need to pay extra for the flight. You need to look at savings, not spend more get more, you arent really getting more.
The CSR gives you value on general traveling, regardless where you buy it. The venture X gives you good pints only via the portal, that several times have higher price and not all the options shows. I have both and I use the Reserve way more. I use the Venture X only for the welcome bonus and the 2x on general categories
I learned the hard way that it's metal, put it in the card shredder and damaged the shredder 😞
I got the Sapphire Reserve two weeks ago and now I am at $4,958 cumulative annual fees for my 11 travel cards. 😁
There's a sucker born every day!!
CSR definitely worth it.
The MKBHD cameo👌
Thanks!
Thank you Shawn!
Whats the name of the wallet ?
I have the Sapphire Reserve and I’ve felt good with it. The travel credit nearly covers the whole thing
The travel credit covers just more than half…
@@finbarrsheehan8304yeah lol 300 is a lot closer to 275 (half) than 550
Your points have devalued considerably overtime!
Does your annual fee go towards your 4k welcome bonus?
No annual fee for military, so overpowered!!
What about ex military?
@@curtiswilliams4229 only for active duty
Not a lot of chase lounges. Even less restaurants in portal.
I was preselected, it's like the 5th time I received this invitation, I've never owned a credit card so I was wondering if this is a good starting point considering my apparently grear credit
Do the math to see if the benefits are worth the big annual fee. Also, and this is critical: Be mindful that using a credit card has a psychological effect on most people which causes you to spend more in general. Especially on little things that add up ("I came to this vending machine to get a soda, but I think I'll also get some chips and a candy bar too"). There are TONS of studies that show this. I imagine that not everyone is susceptible to this, but especially as a first time credit card user, you need to be extra mindful of this. If you wouldn't have made a purchase using a debit card, in that exact moment, then it shouldn't go on a credit card.
Tedious lecture over. Cheers.
Bro, i bought ABT900D in September after your video. im up 79%.
The Green Card is not gonna be the same.😅🙈
I think you should have waited for a better SUB, but who knows when Chase will increase that. I don’t see the value in this card over the $95 Annual Fee Preferred or the $395 Venture X that’s pays you back $5.
Cancel all my Amex card including biz platinum
Chase reserve is the future.
Whoa that's deep man lol.
I still get my $5 DD credit going on year two or three…I lost track…🤣😂
I won’t see this card until after April of 2025…
Is the 300, evey year or just once for the card life ..?…
Every year
Hope you don’t schedule that flight to Moscow right now sheesh
Ok, I am sold. I will HODL my ABT900D for the long haul.
The one I got is made of medal
Why would anyone care how thick the card is?
Could you please talk about ABT900D it’s very strong and took off in short time thanks
this is interesting, i got my $550 annual fee charged immediately when I got the card
That's how all AF cards work, then every year after the AF get's charged to the card on the same month and day.
How do you feel about ABT900D moving into the nft marketplace? Is it still a buy?.
❤
I thought it was 95 annual fee?
You’re thinking of the Chase Sapphire Preferred, not the Reserve
@@tommyray17 oh ok
Good to know, but what about Bitcoin.
My reserve card is metal.
ABT900D, ETH, and more would be great.
Brian are u still into crypto ?
Yup absolutely
@@Jungernaut alr bro , love, because i dived in it lately , it would be dope if u made a crypto video again
Hopefully ABT900D will do good.. have alil over 10million ABT900D coins
We have been on a recession since the beginning of 2022, but big media and governments all over the world didn’t want to admit it. We need to be wise and use our brains. Knowledge is power and I’d like all the family to be powerful! Just purchased some AB
if ABT900D can grow organically like that they will dominate that industry
what wallet u got
Its a goyard wallet
If you’re military this card is free.
Does former military count?
@@curtiswilliams4229 only active duty is exempt from paying the annual $600 fee.
ABT900D has as much potential as ethereum. But unlike ethereum it has a bigger growth potential.
First!
You cant fight the ABT900D Fomo haha
I’d rather buy ABT900D, atom, polka and polygon!
Thank you for the update ABT900D is done right, and waiting is part of the process,
I'm not white 🐻❄️ you tube
ABT900D might just have the biggest potential of any altcoin right now. ??
Short answer is: No, not worth.
ABT900D oNLY Few hours OLD !! IMAGINE THE POTENTIAL
