Yes you’re right, the noisy sounds, no direction It seems.. but finding out about the musicians he worked with, you’ll notice that not only is he a perfomancer but also has some wonderful musicality And in addtion to that, generally speaking, drum soloing doesnt have to be long like this video, sometimes it is even better to solo 4,8bar phrase going mad than smooth emotional but very normal 8bars Thats why the greats have been working with him
Not for me. Seems to just be wailin’ out without any forethought. I’m sure there is better stuff out there of him and I’m sure that he has an impressive career. But this? Nah.
