This is a year later that I came across this reaction video, but yea, I don't think he gets it or understands the point Tom is putting across. He seems a little "fresh" when it comes to rap that actually has controversial lyrics, politically incorrect. Lyrics, honest messages etc, because he writes what he feels and doesn't follow the herd. Lyrics that some people may find offensive because they just don't wanna open their mind and actually listen. I just don't think he gets it.. IMO. 🤷🏼♀️
I've followed tom for awhile now. This is the best way I can explain his rap style to help you understand why he is hyped, but you've only liked 1/3 songs.
He as an independent artist just...does shit. Tries what he wants. His songs cover a very wide range of topics/sounds. Sometimes he wants to make a song about some life experiences ( I dont drink) Sometimes he wants to talk on some shit he sees in the world (politically incorrect, white boy), sometimes he wants to aim at the rap game (exposure) sometimes he just wants to go fucking hard (this song, this house), sometimes he wants to be uplifting (castles, I wish). Hell he even has a "rock" song (more like a rock/rap mix).
He is a "rapper" but more so he is an independent artist. At least thats how I view him.
Lastly, bruh look at his diss tracks aimed at Mac Lethal (lethal injection was the bait, mach lethal sucks was the killshot)
This is the kind of tom we all like.. Do "this house" or "I'm sorry" next.. You wont be disappointed

The censorship is solely because of two things:
the platform and the reactions
These two reasons overlap, mostly. On YT, you cussing will definitely switch the algorithm a lot for you. And many reaction channels want to blow up themselves so when reacting to this kind of song they might want to bleep it out anyway.
Obviously this has a negative effect that you noticed where it seems like he's holidng back the strength of the anger of those cuss words by censoring them, but thats where the second part comes from. He's independent and he talks about controversial topics - for him to even get promoted by CZcams algorithm his video uploading game must be on POINT. YOu already know what would happen to a dude who makes controversial rap songs that go against the tide if he also cursed and had no music label protection to shield him... he might not lose the platform but the algorithm of YOuTube putting him on 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 95% - who knows how much - less would be destructive to his career and the platform he has here.
EVERY other platform except his CZcams channel's music video is ALWAYS explicit. Spotify, Itunes, CZcams - Topic, Pandora... it's always explicit. Just on CZcams and Facebook he feels like he has to censor.

I think Mac Lethal Sucks was great but I dont think its representative of Tom's music nor is it relevant and the beef is in the past so it's just a curiosity at this point and not something I would like people to be introduced to Tom with. And I dont think Tom would like that too seeing how he squashed the beef and stuff with Mac Lethal behind the scenes.

Just to elaborate on the "Titties on your knees" line, he's telling all the inferior rappers to bow to him pretty much. It sounds weird at first but it kinda grows on you after you realize what he's actually saying. Because after that he says "Put a bullet in your head like words you only spoke to God" So he's telling them to bow or die. He wasn't trying to "fit" anything in there, every bar did what he meant it to.

You have only touched the surface of how talented and how meaningful Tom's songs are with pure intentions and doesn't fake the funk. So many songs I can list that surpass the first three songs you have reacted to by a thousand times. He censors his songs so they don't get demonetized. With him being independent, he needs to push his music the best way he can, and follow CZcams's demonetization rules so he can get ad placement. No capp, that is how I was introduced to Tom and his artistry. The song, Trying To Kill Me came on in a ad, and I legit I was about to pull up the video to roast his tattoos and full Gucci outfit. I totally guilty of judging a book by its cover. Then I listened to a couple of his songs, and its history from there. I haven't bought a cd in ten plus years, and I ordered the two Cd's he had available and a ton of merch. Some of his tee's are great humor.

I think I Wish packs as much punch as the songs like No Response or This House, just for a different reason. Whereas these dis attitude songs don't cut slack for anyone, I Wish is ridiculously vulnerable. He guts himself and leaves it open for everyone to look at. I've cried several times watching I Wish.

Don't forget "I don't care" and "buttholes". In I don't care you get a little more of where he comes from and buttholes you see a little more on where he stands. Sidenote the braids pink line was kinda fire for a few reasons. He specifically chose the color and items of the setting for the music video to be more happy go lucky colors so people wouldn't get offended by some of the stuff he said and to get his point across that these opinions don't matter. He really is amazing. I’m glad you haven’t given up on him. The best of him comes from his REAL life, that’s where he shines and is just completely relatable. I just love how real he is when talking about his life and his struggles.

Combine that with the line after, "Put a bullet in your head like words you only spoke to god," meaning this person he's talking about is curled up on the ground, making one last prayed before they commit forever sleep.
Weird way of phrasing it, I'll admit, but it makes a lot more sense if you think about it that way.

It's great to see someone who gives an artist a few chances before writing them off. Tom's music doesn't always fit into the strict hip hop genre... he does what he feels like at that time and he's incredibly talented. Through it all, he stays true to himself. In answer to a few questions you tossed out there... yes, he was called "gay" for his braids being dyed pink. Yes, there are several artists sneak dissing him on social media and in some videos. No, he wasn't taking shots at all reactors... he loves reactors and often leaves comments for them. (I think the diss is more towards rappers who are also reactors... reacting to him for extra clicks/views to further their music careers.) As for the blow back bar, I would bet money he knew exactly what meanings it could have. He is very particular on each word in his songs and he does have some knowledge about guns. He almost always censors his videos for CZcams and there seems to be a couple reasons for it. However, he does not censor the songs on his CDs or any other music platforms. I think most of your other questions were answered or expanded upon in previous comments. If you liked this song, you should listen to "I'm Sorry", "This House", or "I Don't Care" next. I was trying to find the other songs you listened to first of Tom’s. I was thrown when I saw you said you weren’t a fan at first but it makes sense now bc you didn’t bother to go back and listen to his earlier stuff. His rap is a journey and if you don’t start from the beginning you’ll be lost.
Also, go look him up ok Instagram. He is the realist person you’ll probably ever meet and yes, everything he says is true to what has been said or happened to him. I like Ernest and Knox Hill because they both discuss technical aspects of the music. Knox is more emotional, and gives an impression of being the guy everybody likes. Ernest is more of the "sorry I have to be honest" guy. But both are extremely knowledgeable.

I don't know if you know it yet, or if anyone else has already mentioned this, but the reason for the blanked out curses was so he could play the video as an ad, I've gotten his videos as an ad before multiple times
The tracks are uncensored on iTunes/google/Spotify etc. It’s censored in the music videos because swearing on CZcams effects ad revenue.
Dude, you have GOT to hear "This House." I really loved this song, but "This House" is now my anthem. I think that's his best song.
He removes the explicit lyrics on youtube because of the marketing/algorithms not demographics. Unless you are on a major label where they give it a pass, many youtube advertisers won't monetize independent rappers if they don't sensor, so it goes back to him knowing how to work the system, as he says in the song, to get more money.
The reason this vid is censored is because he did 2 versions on CZcams, it on purpose to get it monetized for one which is censored, but he also released a uncensored version on CZcams. So one gets the money while the other one doesn't. Smart!
