Exactly what I was looking for! And for the same reason lolol Thanks so much!!
Nice skills!
Thanks Don!
Very cool chest! Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome!
chingon Sir.
thanks
You're most welcome Darin!
The part the lock goes through is called a staple.
Yup, I've put that in the article. Couldn't remember during filming.
👍 nice
Thanks Robert!
The same type recess for a hinge is called a gain.
Did you ever tried some cold blue on the striped hardware? I think that would level the whole thing up a few notches...
Not yet
I think I would have went tough love style with this chest for my kids. Get them a padlock with a key. Give them one key and I keep one. Tell them if they lose the key, then they lose their valuables. Teach them some responsibility, then presumably when they lose their key, you have a backup.
Ha! All the keys would be lost in a day!
When the cat goes missing, check those chests! Good job!
Ha!
Sir : do you have somewhere a video about that chest!!??
Not yet, but maybe soon!
You refer to the hand drill as an "egg beater" drill. Was the egg beater actually used as the pattern for the hand drill or is that just a nickname given to the drill? Do you ever use a Yankee hand drill? You know the push kind.
Yes Doug, that's a common name. Not sure if the egg beater was used as a pattern, but it very may well have been. Yes, I have a Yankee hand brace. What do you mean by "push kind"?
@@WoodAndShop Like the Yankee screw driver. As you push on it the bit rotates and drills the hole.
@@nobuckle40 Ah yes, now I know what you're talking about. I've got one. Not as easy to use as an egg beater drill.
What kind of drill is that? I've been looking for a bigger hand drill
Egg beater drill
@@WoodAndShop but what is the name and model
@@soberlivingwithbrianfrankl8254 Can't remember, but it's one of these: woodandshop.com/woodworking-hand-tool-buying-guide-hand-drills-braces-bits/#buyeggbeater
@@WoodAndShop thank you! I just got me a millers falls number 5.. and its a little bigger than the one I had or was using.. it was a number 77a buly the same name. But thank u for the link
@@soberlivingwithbrianfrankl8254 No problem! Sorry, I have so many egg beater drills in my school, and I didn't want to walk out in the snow to go see which one this was :)
You better hope your kids don’t watch The Lockpicking Lawyer videos. That lock wouldn’t last 2 minutes.
Ha! I think my oldest son already knows how to change the combos!
