Sharon Osbourne Reacts To David Walliams Britain's Got Talent Scandal

- Popular comedian and former Britain's Got Talent judge, David Walliams, is taking legal action against production company Fremantle after being fired from the show.
Walliams is seeking significant damages following his dismissal, which came after he was caught making derogatory comments about contestants during a break in filming. The leaked transcript revealed him using offensive language towards an elderly performer. As a result of the legal battle, Walliams' relationship with co-star Simon Cowell has reportedly suffered strain, leading to speculation about the future of their friendship.
In a conversation about the leaked comments, Sharon Osbourne defends the comedian, stating, "I'm not saying that I've been an angel my entire life, that I don't say to a co-host, you know, even something sexual, but it's, we're mates, and I'm not going to lie, and it's, you know, you do it, but it's not meant, it's not serious, it's just banter, you know, to keep everybody up and whatever."

Is something truly private if what you are saying can be picked up with some cheap radio equipment? If I was a sleazy reporter I would be tempted to go to one of these shows with a laptop and record' everything they say. That said, the most likely source in this case is from the master tapes
It got out because they wanted it out, otherwise they'd find the source and fire them. This was a covert action to remove someone from the show who contractually couldn't be removed without this.... Anybody thinking otherwise is naïve...

Sorry, he can say in private what he wants about who he wants. Maybe these people were acting inappropriate & the comments were deserved. It's not like he took someone's guitar that was given to them by their now deceased father & smashed it (UGT). If he had said these things to the contestants, or even if they had overheard him, that would be a completely different story. He got screwed!

Calling David Williams "not funny " is a little harsh considering he made one of the biggest comedy shows ever in Little Britain.

Its inappropriate and wrong what he said but it was a private conversation between two people which got leaked by someone else that heard it on the mic that wasn't even involved in the conversation. In my opinion it's so wrong that he was sacked due to it.
That show was horrible though. I remember them dressed up as old ladies with beards urinating, not even a bit funny.

I personally don't think I'd've enjoyed Little Britain from what I've seen of it but others do; that doesn't make them small minded or stupid. Just like I think sarcastic humor is hilarious but plenty of others don't. Each to their own.

Under Australian law, if a conversation is taped or recorded without knowledge or consent, that evidence is inadmissible in court -- in which case, David Walliams has no case (if Britain has similar laws).
It's the other way around, David sues for firing and their employers cannot justify with an audio leak. The question remains who leaked private conversations.
Under Australian law calling someone a K unt is a mark of respect.

What has David Williams done wrong? I am not British, however i usually see the programa and really enjoying his sense of humour and sharp mind. I also love Alesha, so sensitive and accurate. I will quit watching this program.

He must've said it out of frustration and because he is already exhausted at the time. I bet every one of you have done the same. It's so happens that he is well known and people are making such a big deal about it to make themselves feel better. I ain't saying what he did was right. I'm saying we all have that moment when you talk to your friends and say something stupid. The only difference is that we didn't get caught or our friends told anybody else. In some countries it isn't, for instance Australia. As a female American I find it offensive but plenty of people don't. If he had called the person it to their face that would be a completely different story. These times have people getting too easily butthurt over everything.

Being BGT judge is a JOB, a work that requires full focus and attention. It is difficult to handle when one is not fully "there" and can give his full attention.

It is interesting to hear Sharon say 'it is just banter' and yes it probably is, Walliams probably trying to be funny by going OTT, but there is one huge difference Sharon, when a member of the public uses banter and then that gets shared around they get cancelled, lose their job etc but when a celebrity does it we are supposed to forgive them? I actually think we should take all this with a pinch of salt but then it comes down to what political party you support or what TV channel you belong to.
Until people realise this is 'just banter' if a member of the public gets cancelled and certain celebrities who support the 'wrong party' then Walliams should suffer too.

They canned David for something that probably do but just never got caught. I've never bothered with any of these talent shows. Unfortunately, it would seem that these mediocre judges get a kick out of ridiculing members of the public for the sake of entertainment. Another rusty nail in the coffin of variety.
