- Here is a very simply way to make a fully adjustable band-saw circle cutting jig, and when you have your circle it will only have a small indent in it not a hole, for those of you who have seen my last one this will give you a very useful upgrade making it work much better and more accurate

A true "CUT" above! Thank you kind Sir.
Great jig. I should try doing woodworking in my slippers and pyjama. Why not get comfortable.
One more thing I want to congratulate you for staying slim at your age. Cheers!
Ok thanks
a stick on ruler tape would be more accurate and convenient. Great jig!! I had made on similar but have now incorporated your great ideas!!
Thank you, yes your right tap would be better but to be honest I find in most cases I don't trust them I will still get my tap out every time
Just gets better and better love it thanks for a great video 👍👍👍👍
I guess you've noticed Brian thats how thinks work with me they evolve and sometime end up nothing like what i first though they would, but its good to know your liking my ideas
I've see a few of these and this was to my liking. It was simple too
Thank you Lynard, yes im a great believer in finding the simple approach too many people over complicate things
A very clever jig-thank you.
Thank you Harry
thank you
Great video my friend
Thank you
Another good un!
Thanks Ken, always good to know you are still watching, thats mate
Lovely job David👍 I must ask but what are the two windmill things on the fire?
Hi Mark they are heat powered fans designed to circulate the heat that rises from the fire
Nice Jig David. How happy are you with your band saw?
Hi, I've had it for around 3 years now and I find it can handle anything I give it to do, i must admit it's biggest job is in winter with a 30mm blade cutting up firewood to keep me warm in the shop
David Gladden sounds good. I asked couse i'm in the market for a new bandsaw.
@@sumandl as this one is my first really big one I have little I can compare it with but I'm happy with it and JET use have a good reputation
I have been trying to figure out how to build a bandsaw jig that will allowme to cut rounded tops on 1 x 4 boards which of course are 3/4" x 3 1/2". I build cornhole boards and I use 1 x 4 legs. I have not been able to figure out how to build this jig. For now, I am using a pattern that I made from MDF and using double sided tape I am routing the ciruclar end on the tops of these legs. But it is ver slow and I need to figure out some way to do this on my band saw. I have a 1/4" blade on the saw which should be small enough for this radius but I simply cannot figure out how to design the jig.
Just wondering if you might have any suggestions on this.
Thank you very much.
Did you come up with something? I want to cut rounded corners as well on blanks
David nice vid. Always looks cold when you walk into your shop when my son who is a electrician did my workshop we installed conduit pipe work from cable trunking he also installed wall mounted electric heater
With attached timer so I have heating all the time and it turns off when the temp falls below 24c so it nice in the summer Just a idea maybe for you workshop
Many thanks
Harry
Hi Harry thanks for the concern yes i have thought of things i could do to warm the place up but i guess its become part of the ritual and im not sure what i would do will all the spare time i would have not loading the fire, or come to that what would i do will all the of cuts i burn, anyway more for me to think about, thats for watching
prefect job
Thank you, very kind.
At 8:56 you show that pin in the sliding board - what is it called? I listen 5 times right before when you open the package and still can't understand. I'd love to try this.
Hi sorry if there was a sound issue but the pin I call a dowel pin it's a centre pointer used for Doweling
@@dmgladden Thanks for the quick response - have a great day!
So there’s still a pin mark instead of drill mark
Convoluted, rambling, incoherent . 'Nuff said !
Thanks Dork Glad you liked it
Wish I could understand you. I can't listen that fast!
play it at .75 speed under settings. You can also turn on the subtitles.
why are you a evolution plumber ? carpenter /joiner
Just curious, what is "Simle"?
? Explain please
@@dmgladden LOL! The title of the video has "Simple" spelled "Simle". Just a typo but, I couldn't resist. I can't explain why but spelling has always been one of those things for me. Did you see the article today about some idiot burning down a church in Mississippi? The jerk left a note complaining that the parishioners were "hypokrits." And, I am from New Orleans. In my neighborhood, I was the only one sent to a private school rather than the local public school. Most of my friends from the neighborhood are convicted felons or doing work that doesn't require "book learn'n." Regards and, it was a good video. Bill
Don't have $20,000 worth of woodworking equipment
Why not you must not be that interested in the subject, I didn't have once but these things build slowly over many years if you have the interest
20g can be just a start but the most important piece of equipment is between your ears, and by your comment you are just out of luck cause you can't buy that. Good job David.
Not “quick”
No rush, the turm quick was relating to the use of it not the making of it
Not "no hole" either.
@@davebashford3753 its an indent not a hole easy removed with water on most wood, holes go through
Again today i used it and i stand by the turn quick i did a 900mm circle in a matter of minutes
Can't understand what he's saying
1 out of 25,000 isn't bad
