Thompson Lake Maine... Hitting some landlocked salmon trolling...life is good

  • Fishing on Thompson lake in Maine on Sunday in April. Using the public boat launch on 121..Got in the water by 615am. Already around 10 boats already in water. Trolled with db smelts lures...three rods..two with fly line one with lead core.. got 4 salmon on the lines.. kept 3...each taking turns reeling one in....good day to be alive..thank you Mr/Mrs Salmon..yessir!

    Hey guys what a great video I honestly felt like I was in the boat with you through some of the funny stories you guys told, Excellent catches and excellent advice. I fished Thompson Lake before in October up in Maine with no luck ill be returning this summer and going up with your guys advice!!! i'm pretty confident we will have some success now!!!

    I troll streamers there and do quite well.

      @@bouchercm8 I do not have a speedometer on my boat. I start out slow as my motor will go and vary speeds until I find what works that day. Boat is a 14’ smokercraft with an 8 hp yamaha.

      @@bouchercm8 aim for anywhere between 1.4-2.3/2.4 mph i usually troll around 2 mph
